Now that it's been a while I'm not freaking out anymore. Still really nervous because I have terrible anxiety and hopefully I'll be able to focus. I usually can't focus on anything for more than a few minutes then after that I zone out. I'll look like I'm paying attention but it just the opposite so hopefully I can get over that if they choose me to be apart of the jury. I really hope they don't though because I can screw up almost anything and I wouldn't want a bunch of people pissed at me.
I will have to remember that if I get a speeding ticket, tell the County Attorney I want a jury trail or to negotiate a settlement.
I ain't mad. I just didn't want people to really think I was condoning cheating the system, we need joke tags so sarcasm and tone can be clearly noted by the reader.
I've been summoned twice and never served. Only once did I sit in on jury selection, was an honor roll student that had gotten caught selling a controlled substance within 500' of a school. Luckily I'm towards the end of the alphabet and they already had their jurors and alternates before reaching me. Had to call the next 4 days and never had to go back. Only other time I shiwed up for instructions and was given a number to call by 7 or 8am, never had to return. From the one time I was in on selections I gathered they did them alphabetically, and being in the S's there's prrtty good odds of it filling before they get to me. If not, it's part of our civic responsibility, it's not like you are the one on trial. And it pays great, usually about 4 dollars per day and 10 cents a mile
