I rushed the shot, he was bird doggin a doe real hard. Had a real good opportunity to take a 135-140 inch buck. That was crazy only deer activity I saw. If I was tree hunting I would be bating 100% Glad it was a clean miss.
Clean miss is the next best thing to kill shot! Glad it was clean. Now you have a story and a learning experience. Maybe it will be easier to stay composed on the next big buck. Buck fever or bad day?
Wasn’t buck fever, he was on the move. Stopped him with a bleat from my mouth. I should have let the doe come back in front of me. Would had a closer shot. That’s why they call it hunting instead of killing.
