I just shot my first deer and the arrow deflected off of a small twig. The shot height was perfect but kinda far back almost center. I watched the firenock enter so I was ready to ear on the side of caution. I looked for sign at point of impact with the guide and found good blood. We started to follow the trail and it was a total of ten feet where we found the deer. Now my main question is after I dressed the deer I looked and saw I had a center liver shot that the spitfire maxx had done its damage. But now I'm wondering if it was luck it was so quick or if there is something else I might have hit. I really regret not checking organs betters I was just on clound nine then.
Most often a liver shot will either kill them in less than 100yds or they will live for several hours.
