I keep items listed below in a tote in my truck. It's saved my bacon a number of times. I am so dependent on having this I have a hard time riding in anyone else’s vehicle. Does anyone else do the same? My best friend use to razz me about my “boy scout kit” all the time until one day when we were fishing he had to go number 2 and I refused to supply him with TP. That’s the last time he ever gave me any grief about my “boy scout kit”! Some of its contents change seasonally. First Aid Kit (including Visine, ibuprofen, and allergy meds) tool kit (basics) Multi-tool, Socket set, Wrench set, Screw drivers, hammer, pliers, ect... sun screen MRE / trail type food. bug repellent hand cleaner rags towel 1 Gal of Water TP rope zip ties duct tape bailing wire electrical tape hose clamps 12X12 tarp Trash bags ziploc bags sleeping bag lighter / matches knife flash light jumper cables tow strap mechanics gloves jacket rain gear Ammo for my carry gun
I keep. Basic hand tools, chain, tow rope, duct tape, jumper cables and spare battery, spare tire, rope, water, mt. Dew, extra knife, .22 rifle. Extra ammo for. 22, my carry pistol and an asortment of other ammo. Nitrile gloves band aids, paper towels, napkins. And most important. A shovel. The type changes with the season.
mine is pretty dull. tools, coolant, fillet knife, rope, cardboard in the bed (you'd be surprised how soft it can be) sweat shirt, a few bucks (folding and jingle) couple bottles of water.
A case of water bottles, pocket knife, ibuprofin, roll of TP, tow strap, work gloves, ratchet strap set, duct tape, bungee cords, bug spray, a couple 30rd clips (full), and a few other things. The list gets a lot longer during deer season, I've usually got everything in the truck at all times for a weekend at camp.
I have many of the same basic things you guys do. Tow strap, jumper cables, knife, napkins, fuses, binoculars, basic tool kit, flash light, truck jack and licenses for whatever season it is. The number one thing that has saved me a few times though is an extra pair of contacts. I don't have glasses and if I'm out in the woods or at work and for some reason I loose one or it tears, I have an extra one not far away. My vision is terrible without them so this has been a big help for me more than once.
.45, .223, construction tool belt with all the tools in it, knife always on me, lots of ratchet straps, chain, minnow bucket, antifreeze, maglite, duct tape, and a bunch of other random stuff in the tool box.
My first thought exactly... except its always on my person which means it happens to be in the truck when I'm in it... Good question though; I probably ought to stock it with some of the suggested items from above. TP is a must though.
Right now my truck has 6 fishing poles, 5 folding chairs, 2 tackle boxes, an EMS jump kit, a first aid kit, Fire department radio, a fleece, a cooler full of beer, a pair of nike shox, a pair of boots, a pair of rubber boots, camo moccasins, electrical wiring, an old siren box, a football, a ton of empty cans, a pair of shorts, a knife, some random tools and i think thats it. Waterproof bed cover is badass.
I have more cra....... er, stuff in my truck than I could name. But for any thieves out there... there's a bunch of gold bullion and small, unmarked bills in it. Catch is, you have to take the whole truck. And I don't want it back. Take the whole truck apart trying to find the money. Thank you.
Exactly what I was thinking. I hope your not the first responder if I am ever in your neck of the woods and I'm not in a good way. Well, as longer as the cooler is still full, that would be o.k.!
A lot of whats in my truck is seasonal...so right now several hats, baseball jackets, shoes, tools, binos, tp, jumper cables, ratchet straps, a lot of dirt, and who knows what else.
The two dont mix boys, the cooler is in there because of a fishing trip (hence the poles and lawn chairs). The EMS kit is just "always" in there. Dont get your panties in a bunch
