He rejoined in 95 and in 96 they set the all time win mark with 72. I would attribute more of that to rodman than pippen.

Oh and the 72 wins came after a 47 win season in 95. His return wasn't until march of the 95 season.

I didn't remember the exact time either. Lol, even though I was 25. Looked at his biography on line.

Well, without a few clutch threes from guys other than MJ, he does not have 6 rings...He took alot of big shots, but by no means did he simply carry a team of avg guys to 6 rings. As stated and ignored before, Lebron took a TERRIBLE team to 60 wins and a finals appearence...A team that received the Lottery pick the very next year because they were that bad without him...

Did the bulls receive the lottery the year after Michael walked...HMMMMMMM

Guys just wont to let go, and remember I am still in the Michael is greater than Lebron camp...but that gap is shrinking every single day.

Set aside numbers and rings. Michael Jordan is probably the most fierce competitor in the history of sports (maybe planet earth in general). Not only did he have the most talented with physical skills, he was the most talented mentally. See Tiger Woods in golf. THAT is what separates the great from "best of all time". That's something you can't teach either. Youre born with it. It's the "it" factor that makes up the greatest. Ali, Tiger, Jordan, Gretzky, allllll had it. Lebron? Meh.... doesn't really impress me in that category. In fact seems like he shys away from it. The greatest of all time look for it and embrace it. They want the moment and it's never bigger than them. So while Lebron (and I'm a big Lebron fan) may have all the tools in the world like we've never seen. Hell he may even put up better career numbers. There will still never be a player/competitor that transcended their sport like Jordan.

I've always wondered why people that have zero interest in sports reply to a sports thread. Hmmmmm.

The bulls did go from 47 wins without jordan to 72 with. But they did get rodman too.

A lot of those game winning shots by team mates were directly related to jordans presence and the defense over playing him and him being the consement team player and willing to pass them the ball. (This was one way he made his team mates better) another was how he practiced. He was the hardest worker in practice and that is infectious.

Its not like jordan had a team of hf the first 3 championships. Pippen was it and he's not in the hf in my book without jordan.

We must remember, when jordan retired, the bulls still had phil and that is a huge factor for them remaining somewhat competitive. Jordan comes back and they are almost unbeatable

Im not bashing lbj and he is an unbelievable talent but I don't see the "it" factor. I do see a beast on the court with many tools.

    Again. JMHO

No malice here, but you are in a water cooler section of a bowhunting website. Only things that matter here are sports, and where to kill a furry little critters based on when and where they will eat, sleep, **** and breed...Not exactly a place for a man on such a high horse really...

You guys just love MJ, and I always thought he was the Greatest 10 yrs ago to, but today I realize that MJ is merely the 2nd best, to LeBron.... MJ, while extremely athletic, doesn't quite measure up to LeBron. LeBron is hands down the GREATEST basketball player I've ever seen play.

Lebron has more tools than probably any other NBA player, ever....all while staying out of trouble.

Meanwhile, Jordan is fighting (another) paternity case.

MJ is a prick....but that certainly helped him in the game of basketball.

I don't disagree with basketball tools. Lebron is probably better. When it comes to the intangibles. Defensive play at end of game. Game winning shot or assist on the biggest stage (not regular season games) motivating teammates, jordan would be my choice. It meant something to jordan to win, I don't see that out of lebron YET.
