I read ESPN everday. I probably shouldnt...but i do. because they have the most money and can cover the most sports news.

    Anyways.

Obviously...they love him. ALOT. They use phrases like "Best on earth", "Never before seen", "Reinventing"...it goes on...

So now, after 3 MVP's, a championship, and the current streak of almost never missing a shot ( ), how good is he really? Is the Kobe argument over? Does Durant have a chance? And how far before Micheal is truly threatened?

ESPN is a bunch of ignorant frontrunners. All they do is talk about big market teams and whoever is in first place.

He's the best in the game no doubt.

Durant may be a better shooter but that's it, and there's 2 sides to the court. Lebron is a more effcient scorer, better defender, passer, and rebounder. Lebron is more of a facilitator than Durant. I don't see how anyone can make the argument that Durant is a better individual player or team mate, it's just wrong.

It's a shame he had such a horrible front office in Cleveland. If they had done their jobs and put players around him, he'd likely have 2-4 rings and would still be in Cleveland. The city has no one to blame for him leaving, except for their front office.

However, I still don't entirely rule out his return to Cleveland...

I went to Cleveland once to watch him play there. Ive seen him play 8 times. Always worth the money.

And if you haven't seen the Miami Heat Harlem Shake video, check it out!

Hes a freak of nature talent that the game hasn't seen before. I think he's the best in the game right now. Not even close to Jordan comparisons yet or ever will be IMO. He needs a LOT more hardware on his resume.

I like him...he is a great player. No Jordan yet...I doubt he will get 6 rings. I can't stand Kobe & his attitude...lol. I wish he would go back to the Cavs...maybe one day...it was the Cavs own fault he left.

I agree that Jordan is the GOAT, simply because of what a fierce competitor he was...but to think a guy 3-4" taller, 40lbs heavier and every bit as quick may not erase him one day is just being close minded...I was once the biggest Lebron hater on this planet, but that dude is RAW!!!

Hate all you want, but Jordan ran side by side with a member of the 50 greatest players of all time (Pippen)...

    Completely agree.

And the whole "Jordan has more rings" argument is dead. By the ring standard, Bill Russell and Robert Horry are better than Mike (Bill has 11 rings, Horry has 7)

And another hall of famer in Dennis Rodman.

I'm a huge Jordan fan. Always have been, but part of me thinks people just don't WANT to see anybody be as good as Jordan was, so they'll never admit to it.

Never been a fan on Kobe. He wasn't the leader of his team for the first 3 rings, and if he hadn't had such a bad attitude causing Shaq to leave (He won in Miami after he left LA), Shaq probably would have carried him to 2 more rings.

Kobe at his peak was every bit as good/dominant as Lebron only without the physical demeanor.... MJ was better than both at his peak.

As for right now (or the past 3-4 years for that matter?)... LBJ is the best in the world with a distant second. If he continues this streak for 4-5 years (given his age, he is just now hitting his peak years) there is no reason to believe he won't go down top 3 all time maybe the best if he continues to win along side his ridiculous numbers.

I'll admit Lebron is at the top of his game right now....but pro basketball sucks, so does it really matter?

I'm 37. I quit watching and following and supporting all "pro sports" in like middle school. It's just organized mass distraction for us to zombie out on while real issues of politics and religion never get talked about. We're all a bunch of sport fan video gamers, it's pretty disturbing in my opinion that so many grown up adults are so overly involved mentally into the lives of athletes. Take things in moderation people, the word fan, sports fan comes from fanatic. Like religious fanatic, don't be a fanatic

Pippen ran off Jordans coat tails. Without Jordan , Pippen is no where as touted as he was with him. That is why Jordan was so great. He made average players good and good players great.

Lebron, imo, doesn't have that intangible yet. Maybe bever will.

This is something the crazy religious lady in Stephen Kings " The Myst" would say.

We might as well just destroy our TV's and quit going to the movie theaters too.

How much do you think pro sports and hollywood play into our economy? S. M. H.

    I've gotta disagree with you.

When Michael walked away from basketball to play baseball, the bulls won like 2-3 less games. That's it. And if it weren't for a few bad calls, they would have been in the finals again. Then Michael came back and they struggled horribly.

And Lebron has always been touted as the best in the game when it comes to make players around him better. The same reason he was able to take a 60+ win cavalier team (whose next best player was Mo Williams) to the finals. He made his supporting cast better.

They won 3 more championships after his return.

Hard to discount phil from the equation.
