What is a good compact or subcompact semi auto for a woman. I have looked at several for the wife. I know it will come down to what she likes or fits her best, just wondering if any of the laddies have one or anyone else has any ideas.
have been looking at a Sig sauer p238

My wife likes the Ruger LCP. It is very small and fits her hands well. The LCP is chambered in .380 auto. She also likes to carry my Glock 26 (when I am not carrying or I'm carrying a full size pistol) which is a subcompact 9mm. Just my $.02...

I own a Ruger LCP and Glock 23 (40 cal) and will always carry the LCP. I fits perfectly in my backpocket...it is a little small for me but I don't like carrying anything any bigger.

I've got a restricted permit right now and will be applying to have my restrictions removed in another 6 months. Once I can carry concealed, I'll be buying a Sig P938 for my pocket gun. Either that or the P238 are fantastic guns, I just like the idea of a little extra snot that the 9mm provides and it's a lot cheaper to shoot too.

What is this CCP that you speak of??

I handled a Kahr pm9 and it fit my hands really well, I didn't shoot it so I can't tell you more than that.

All of my handguns are full-size since we don't have the option of concealed carry here. :(

Looked at the P938 for myself ..looks like a pretty sweet gun. I really like the Kimber ultra ll subcompact 45.
Looked up the LCP, definitely want to see and shoot. She may want to go with a pocket size. We have a SR9..just a little big to carry.

I'm sorry no concealed carry for you Christine. I sure feel better knowing my wife has one. We live in the middle of nowhere and she also travels to the city by herself.

I think it's great she's going to carry.

I have to go up to Chicagoland once a week by myself and I usually don't get home until 1am so while I can't carry a gun on me.. I most definitely keep a gun with me. Usually my Beretta 92f. :)

Do you shoot the Kimber subcompact .45?

I have shot one, but do not own. If we buy the kimber..it will have to be a used one. They are around 12-1400

    Just took the class today.

    Currently own a S&W M&P .45 and a Taurus Compact .45

Looking for a 380 pocket pistol for daily carrying as realistically I won't tote it around much if it is any bigger than that. Anyone have opinions on Taurus TCP vs Ruger LCP?
