Just got back from the annual Springfield Sportsman Show at the Eastern States Exposition at like 8pm, It was alright. It was not as good as years passed, some of the usual venders were gone and it wasn't very crowded. Last year I was able to get those N-fused Carbon arrows last year for 70 bucks a dozen for just the shafts the vendor was gone this year and I was hoping to pick up some FMJs Met one of the guys from Passthruoutdoors.com, which is team archery plus, me and my uncle talked with Josh. Seemed like a good guy, they usually hunt in MA/CT/NY/NH which you don't see much maybe for the exception of NY state. But you never see guys hunting MA, so we picked up one of their DVD's for like a 10 spot and it was pretty good. These guys arent you typical hollywood hunters just normal working guys shooting typical New England deer and turkeys. So the show wasn't a complete loss, my uncle got a new turkey call and my dad had his 1999 archery bow kill hanging on the wall for NBBC booth along with another head that belonged to his buddy who passed away. I didn't buy anything cause im broke, but it was better than a day sitting at home doing nothing
Wow, didn't know we had anyone on here headed to this show. I'll be headed over tomorrow for the IBO Northeast Championship shoot, I'll be on the 2:30 line. If anyone is going to be there tomorrow, give me a shout, I'll be arriving around 11am-12pm, and will likely be there to shoot the open class at 2:30, and then staying to watch a bunch of buds shoot the HC line at 6pm. ~Matt
Thanks Ben. And nope, I think he's planning to wait for the outdoor season, he only goes these days when I really harass him.......:p.
hey good luck with the shoot. I went today, was planning on tomarrow but pops has to go to work. If you get a chance head over to the NBBC booth some wicked deer there my dad has one that scored 111 and his buddy's scored 145 they are both on the outer wall toward the far end of the booth. and dont forget the jerky even a bad show can be good if theres good jerky
