Just a bit of snow. You don't want to step off the deer trails cause you are going down to your arse. It wasn't too bad though. The snow is starting to pack in the open spots where the wind can get at it. Still soft and deep in the trees but you just run deer trail and the areas where they are digging down to browse. first match set of the year... The spike was laying on a small knoll that was wind swept down to the grass. It was freaking raw from the wind on that little knoll for picture taking... so I pussed out and just grabbed it. Tim

heck Tim... I've already got one and haven't even been out shed hunting this year yet... You're in real trouble! (Gotta love the rules allowing the one I found hunting in November to count... :D )
I don't mind that rule... well unless I found a shed in September. Then Duke would hear some whining about... no fair.. no fair !!!!! I thought about you when I picked up the 3 sheds yesterday. I really love my job this time of year. The farm is usually good for some sheds during a dinner break stroll. Tim
I found one wading in Beaver Creek back in July fishing for smallmouth. There was about 1" of the g2 sticking up above the water. I knew it was a shed, waded across the stream grabbed ahold of it and to my surprise.... It really was a shed! Never would have thought I would find a shed in a moderately fast running stream, underwater.... While fishing. But, mine doesn't count
Cool, Tim. I start hitting the road next week with my new job... and I'll be sure to have a pair of jeans and hiking boots in the trunk of the car with me.
