Hi everyone my name is Brandon. I am new to the sport of bow hunting. I am in rohnert park California. Planing on buying a bow in the near future any suggestions from you more experienced guys out there. Trying to learn as much about the sport and the equipment as possible. Thanks

Hey Brandon, Welcome to the site :tu:

Your best bet is to get to a good proshop (or two) and shoot as many different models of bows as you can. There are a ton of great bows out there, and one or two will stand out when you shoot them. IMO, I'd steer clear of the RTS (ready to shoot) bows that you'll find @ Cabelas, D!ck's, Bass Pro.... If you end up with one, expect to replace most of the assesories in a year or so.

Get out there and get shooting!

There is a shop up in Windsor that has a decent selection and will let you shoot a bunch of their bows. I went there to get a feel for the differences from bow to bow before I purchased one.
