When ML comes in in your area, do you still carry your bow? I have gotten in the habit as I have yet to kill a deer with my bow and I really want to. Stuck a nice 8 last year, but never could find him, I don't think it was a kill shot though.
I do. Fall turkey for bow is in through the whole deer season and its a great chance to get a turkey while on stand. Truth be told I've been thinking of selling the smoke pole and all my ML gear and putting the money towards a new predictor rig. If ML season is in I really just prefer to pack my bow instead.
Yeah, I just like to know if one is out there 100+ yards I can reach out and touch him if you know what I mean.
I mainly bow hunt only. Theres only one weekend that i go out with the rifle and thats when my dad and I hunt one of our properties up north. Other then that i bow hunt through out the whole gun season.
