Just curious... who's doing this contest for the first time and NOT HNI's?

I know some of the guys here in this contest are new-new, but a lot of us hail from the inaugural HNI contest days. I'd never missed an HNI contest -- until this year. I guess last year was a transition year as I did both; this year is BH.com only.

I scrolled through the participant list over there a couple days ago, and I probably only recognized 15% of the entrants... a far cry from when I knew virtually everyone over there. I'll miss a few of the guys over there who are only doing that contest like I'm only doing this one (Antler Eater obviously comes to mind; I need to work harder on him ), but I'm more excited about the core group of guys we've got over here. Feels more like old times.

Anyone else doing the same?

 

I decided not to enter the contest over on HNI as well. I wouldnt be considered one of the "core group of guys" here though. I went through the list the other day over there, and like you said, most of the guys I have never heard of. I just feel more at home here. And this is my first contest over here. I joined to late for last years.

 

I did not enter the HNI contest this year.

 

First off.. does anyone else think it blows that you can't just leave yourself logged on all the time anymore? Here at BH.Com of course.

Show of hands? Buehler... Buehler... maybe I'm alone on this one.

Anyways.. I am in the HNI contest.. but I really don't want to be in it.. I'm just there cause our team keeps winning. I'm actually hoping we loose this year. Just like I hoped Justin and I would loose Campbells in 2008.

Unfortunately.. the guys on the that team are gonna drop them.. again.. so I might be there again next year too.

And get ole AE over here... he's an entertaining and good hunter and I miss looking at his "hero pose" with his face-mask still on.

I'm here only as well, don't really go over there anymore unless I am checking out the fishing or taxidermy sections.

 

I'm the contest floozy. I'm in the contest here... Archer's Choice (guys vs gals), Bowfishingcountry and HNI.

To answer the question this is my first online contest period.

 

This is my very first time being in a contest online.

 

I entered, and although I really appreciate all the hard work Rob puts in over there, I do like the smaller atmosphere here. However, in time, this will grow just like HNI did, so nothing really ever lasts I suppose.

 

When we win it again over there we should retire. 3 times and go out on top.:D It just doesn't feel the same.

I'm in over there, but I think I've made less than 10 posts in the last 6 months over there. And I doubt I'll go in for next year.

 

I entered, but all im doing with my team is posting the buck if i kill one, other than that i havent posted over there in a long time.... that will be my last time signing up for an HNI contest, i just like it over here so much better. i dont think ive seen one argument here, unlike HNI where every post turns into a knock down drag out fight
