    1. If you didn't score a buck for your team.....please answer No. 2.

    2. Are you still hunting with your bow?....or....have you taken up firearms (conceded the contest)?

    Just curious.

I'll be out this weekend with the muzzle loader on my property, only because your not allowed to use a bow during the gun season. Go figure??

Then it's bow till the season ends in Jan.

Still going at It strong with the bow. I won't concede until the 3rd week or so of December. Conceding to me Is shooting a doe, one tag area. I don't gun hunt, all bow.

Haven't hunted since November 15th. The last couple weeks have been spent in my office here working on business for next year. Also, its been gun season here in WI, which I only went out for 2 hours just to say I did it, and now ML season. Johnny and I are heading back to IL around the 13th for one last trip and will also be hunting here in WI. Hopefully, I'll have enough done to be able to sneek up to the cabin and try whacking a doe later this week.

As long as the baby doesn't come to early and I get the work done I need to, the season is far from over.

I have 2 saturdays left to get it done(not to confident tjough ) Our gun season just ended, but I still found myself going out with my bow during gun season. I carried a rifle for 2 hours while I was out moving some stands around in case I was fortunate enough to see a deer. So far all year i have seen 8 does in Maine.

BBM, is it legal to use the bow during ML season? Thought it was.

I have not scored on a buck and I am still hunting with the bow. I don't see picking up a firearm at all this season. I can hunt in Georgia until Jan 1 and Jan 10 in Tennessee.

If I was still living in PA, I'd be using the bow. I've only hunted down there with a rifle 2x times in the last 6 years that I can remember, and that was because I had doe tags that needed filling.

With that said, I've been out with the .270 the past 2 weekends hunting the northern zone in NY. Deer populations are REALLY low up there, especially this year with the winter kill from last winter. They are well under 5 dpsm this year. I don't know how you could kill a deer any deer up there with a bow consistently, especially during rifle season. I actually don't know anyone that has killed one during archery season for quite a few years. It's just a whole different game in that terrain, and with that type of population. Over the past 2 weekends, in a camp with 8x guys that sit on an exclusive 1500 acres........I saw the only deer in camp. We officially saw more moose than deer.

I'll be back at it in PA for their late season trying to fill a buck tag. For now, I'm not going to change the way I would normally hunt for a contest, I'll enjoy carrying my Remington in the big woods for one more weekend.

I gun hunt, but in Oklahoma you get two buck tags. So I would still have a buck tag if I did kill one with my rifle....but I didn't. lol
