well here is my story of the hunt, I was debating on going out because of the wind, we only had one spot that was good for a south west wind, I then decided that you cant kill them if your not out there so I got all my gear together in the barn, and had my dad drop me off about 1/4 of a mile from the stand. I arrived at my stand not expecting much to happen that evening, but to my surprise at 4:30 about a half hour after I got in the stand I spotted a doe out in the bean field about 300 yds away. I thought well that's a good sign, so I hung tight and at about 5:20 I heard some rustling in the leaves behind me.... 2 does came running up the hill directly under my stand and out into the field 20 yards away, I waited till the biggest one got broad side and let the arrow fly through her heart. needless to say I saw my rage chisel tip 2 blade cut her open and blood gush out, and she ran out of sight 50 yards, and I saw some white pile on the ground which I figured was her crashing. sure enough I finish up the rest of the hunt seeing 7 more deer, so I walked out to the edge of the field and 50 yards later was a beautiful doe at the end of a solid blood trail. here she is,
Congrats! Don't forget to add this to the Youth Contest Scorecard as well, that's 50 points for Team 2!!
