I'm taking my bow to a bow shop tomorrow (2 hours away)... we are on a tight schedule and I wanted to know how long it would take to sight it in?? and typically how much it costs?

This all depends on the shop, how long their range is, and how many pins you have. It is pretty simple if you only need to sight in the bow. To sight to 10 yards takes maybe 5 min. To sight in the rest can take from 15-20 more min depending on how many pins you have. The only issue is how long the shop's range is. If they only have a 20 yard range, you will not be able to truly sight in you bow for distances over that. But in reality, this is something you can very easily do yourself at home. If you need more adjusted then your sight, it is probably a good idea to take it to the shop.

Alright thanks! I have a 5 pin sight and they said they have a 20 yard range that they can sight in out to 60 yards.

If you're good and know what you're doing you should be able to have each pin set within 3 shots. So 9 shots for a 3 pin and 15 shots for a 5 pin. That also assumes that everything is in perfect tune but why would you be sighting in already if it wasn't?

HUH? Shooting at 60 is not the same as setting a sight for 60 based off where it hits at 20. If you've never actually shot, practiced and established confidence shooting at 60 yards, you've got no business shooting 60 yards at anything other than paper. 60 yards will show form and tuning issues that you'll never see at 20.

^^^amen. dont rely on them to sight your bow in though, make sure you're paying attention and know how to do it when you leave. I know personally I fine tune my pins prob every other time i shoot, maybe im weird haha
