This is freaking mindboggling how far in left field these people really are.:argue: Make sure to read the comments at the bottom of the page. Just thought I would share.

-Some of the more disturbing posts-

"There is overwhelming data that verifies animal abusers also commit violent crimes against innocent people."

"Over and over again, studies prove that those that hunt are less educated, less intelligent. They are the bottom of society. And they don't even have the ability to take care of their children."

"It's not at all far off to think if a person can watch an animal die, they could kill a human being."

With some of those comments it makes me wonder how these people make it from day to day!

It's mind boggling to see how irrational these people are. Making up their own studies that "prove" that hunters are too stupid to function in the real world. I can't believe they even mentioned something like that lol. I'm glad I don't have do deal with these kinds of people where I live right now. I don't think I could handle them. I guess to each their own and I'll just go along about my business.

WOW!!!!!!!!!! I really cannot believe this, it is amazing what ignorant people say and believe.

My favorite comment was "Every animal that gets killed also has a family, a family that will miss and morn them." These people have watched Bambi way too many times. In the story they speak about a 1998 murder committed by children who were taught to hunt. Wow, in 11 years they are able to bring up two instances of children who were taught to hunt who committed murder. How many murders do you think were committed in those 11 years by kids (under 18) who did not hunt and have never been around hunting?

I could go on and on about how raising children up around hunting and firearms makes them more responsible around firearms and how it allows the children to appreciate nature more so than someone who was denied these experience. However, talking to these people is a total waste of time! Just amazing!

I do agree with them. Animals should be treated ethically. That is why we harvest them in the fall. There numbers are so great that the will F'ING starve. Then we would either have deer running around that; look like these pale, skinny, no character, hippies that won't stop and think for a second, or a lot of dead ones. More likely the latter of the two.
We should start MBETA. "Mouth Breathers for the Ethical Treatment of Animals".
We hunt, fish, and eat meat.

We had two murders, next to my work in the last 9 months. I assure you those people were not taught to hunt. There were more than 10 shots fired in the first one, and the revolver was empty on the second. One person dead in each case. Not a very tight grouping at all. My boss and I were talking about going to this area, and putting up fliers for a Pistol Handling Class. He wanted to put one on, so he could teach the people in the area how to shoot. He didn't care about the shooting, he just doesn't like all the stray bullets running around. Any one that hunts knows when enough is enough, and ammo is expensive.

I agree 100% with this statement.

Short story here, my g/f's little cousin is raised by one of the best hunters/ down to earth guy that I know. When the kid picks up even a water pistol he knows well enough how a gun should be handled. Then you throw in the neighbors little prick and I wouldnt even trust him with a butter knife.

True hunters and outdoorsmen know how to raise kids right, theres no doubt about that.

I guess I'm an uneducated hick that will kill anything or anybody at anytime. All I have to say is these people have the right to vote and clearly can't understand that animals don't have family's like in the movies.

    One of the comments. lol.
"Shoot the hookers in Grand Theft Auto instead of animals.
Its more entertaining and its easier of a scapegoat to blame for school shootings. :("

This was an answer to another comment.
    Well said Marine. Well said.

In regard to Kelley's comment, about the study that those who hunt have a lower level of education and are less intelligent. I'm not sure if you are stating that hunting causes a lack of intelligence or how it causes a lack of parental obligations to their children, but if you are, could you please explain. I'm not sure I understand. I began hunting at the age of twelve with my father and have since graduated with a Bachelor's degree from Middle Tennessee State University, spent ten years in the Marine Corps, currently working on my Master's degree in Mass Communications. Since the passing of my wife in 2004, I have been raising my five year old son on my own since he was ten months (the nearest family that I have is 650 miles away in Pittsburgh) also while working a full-time job. So again, could you explain how the two correlate. My brother graduated from Valley Forge Military Academy and then from Texas A&M University and is currently a Lieutenant Colonel in the Army. My sister graduated from Westminster College and then graduated from law school from the University of Louisville. Both grew up hunting. Again, Kelley, please explain. All that I'm saying Kelley, is that if you are going to make such a statement, you need to find a clearer way to purvey your point.

I wish she would. Go swim down in the bay in Australia. I hear there are some nice big sharks down there. They like people like you.
Agreed.I think we should keep our weapons out of the hands of children and stop killing animals for fun!I used to fish with my dad,but I stopped because I knew I was I hurting the poor little thing.Besides,I'd rather swim with them than kill them.

Wow was that an amazing read! Can't believe how whacked out some of these people are. Regarding the idea that hunters are less intelligent and stupid, I wonder what they would think if they knew I was a teacher? I proudly let the students I teach know that I hunt, and wouldn't have it any other way no matter what anybody thinks!

Yep, my first response to PETA's discussion was indeed censored. I simply pointed out that doctors, attorneys, CEOs, teachers, scientists, engineers, athletes, entertainers, soldiers, fathers, mothers, and get this, even presidents/kings/queen are among the ranks of hunters. So the statement that "hunters are at the bottom of society" is definitely wrong. I also pointed out that many of the above positions held by hunters requires an incredible amount of intelligence. Therefore, to paint hunters with such a broad brush was...well, as Forest Gump said, "stupid is as stupid does".

For the second response, I was deemed a "malicious poster"...ACCESS DENIED. Fair treatment indeed...what a bunch of hypocrits! They're nothing but a bunch of simple monkey molders if you ask me! The lady that made reference to "numerous studies" is in Peta's R and D department-associates there are called PETARDs

Beautiful and crafty response. Too bad it was lost in translation.

Perfectly logical explanation denied by those more "intelligent" than us.
