This reminds me of a joke: A city slicker decides he's going to go bear hunting and heads out to an old trading post. As he's buying his supplies and his gun an old timer walks up to him and offers him some advice. "When you see the bear you want to shoot, put your hand in the air and wave for him to come closer. Do this until he gets real close and then shoot him. Don't miss though, or he'll charge you and kill you," he says. The man pays for his supplies and heads out. The next morning he sets out into the woods and goes looking for a bear. Time and time again, he sees a bear, but is worried that it is too far away and doesn't want to get charged. Near the end of the day, the man has grown tired and decides to give the old timers suggestion a try. In a clearing he sees a bear a few hundred yards away. He throws his hand as high as he can into the air and waves it to come over. To his shock, the bear begins to lumber in his direction. As the bear comes to about 200 yards, it stops and waits. The man not wanting to risk a shot, raises his hand again and waves the bear over. It finally comes to a stop at about 100 yards. The man decides this is close enough, lines up and takes the shot. The shot misses the bear and it begins to charge. Not being familiar with guns, the man fumbles around with the rifle but is unable to cycle another round. Finally, the bear is on top of him and it raises onto its hind legs and is about to make the final crashing drive when the man in desperation reaches up and grabs the bear by the soft parts hanging between his legs. The man does everything he can to inflict harm, pulling, tugging and punching on the bear until it finally falls over backwards with a load groan. The man gets up and begins running as fast as he can back towards his camp. After he's run a few hundred yards, he realises he isn't being chased and risks taking a look behind him. The bear it seems is still laying on its back, it hasn't moved since the encounter. Curious, the man watches the bear as it slowly rises up, stands back up on its hind legs, looks in his direction, raises its paw above its head and begins waving.
