Tomorrow is a significant day in history, the anniversary of Overlord should be a reminder to all of us that enjoy living free why it is unacceptable to not stand, remove your hat, and face the flag. The thing that the NFL does not get that up in the stands the people that buy the tickets all stand and face the flag hell there are comments made to people that do not remove their hats. Have you ever seen a person in the stands that does not stand up? Sorry for the rant but June 6 was a day of courage, imagine waking up in the morning knowing that you were going to fight until you died.
I've been to countless pro sports games and I couldn't even begin to tell you how many people I've seen not stand, or stand and stare at their phone, sit and stare at their phone, go get a beer, go to the bathroom, talk to the person next to them, or just walk around aimlessly.
Really? I guess if people are not in their seats it's one thing I honestly have not seen people in the stands not standing.
I have no idea, I am looking at the flag and singing my heart out. Stop looking around and face the flag Sota!!!!
You don't have to agree with everything that happens in this country, but to disrespect the flag and what is stands for shows just how out of touch with reality these people are. This country was founded on and has fought for freedom across the world. For our citizens and for citizens of other nations. We may have not always made the right decisions but I believe in my heart that the intent was always for the greater good. There is no better place on earth to live, there's no place on earth where every citizen has the ability to be successful. The land of opportunity, where a kid from the poverty stricken ghetto can escape that life through hard work, skill and education and become a millionaire and live a life of luxury. That flag represents every citizens potential to thrive. You can protest, you can stand in the streets and act like a spoiled baby, but the minute you disrespect the flag and what it stands for, you are no longer an American in my opinion.
