Well today while at a local pro shop I shot a matthews z7 extreme. I went back to office and looked up info on it. Well by end of day bought it set it up and am outshooting my hoyt maxxis on groups. Maxxis is 1fps faster but doesnt group the same and the matthews isn't near as loud. Thought I would never go back to matthews and loved my maxxis but now find myself back on the matthews wagon.

Shoulda shot the new CRX35 or CRX32, and you'd have wondered why you ever liked the Maxxis. The Maxxis31/35's weren't near as nice, IMO, as either the CRX32/35's or the Alphamax32/35.

Lots of good bows out there to choose from nowadays. As long as the bow fit you the way you like thats all that matters. I still cant find a bow that feels better to me that my Switchback XT! Maybe someday!

BTW- Mathews is spelled with one "t"

I second that, if a bow fits you than who cares about the name on the limbs.

I agree. The Hoyt is great but the new bow just fits so good. I wish I had shot an alfamax. And thanks for the spelling lesson. That is kinda embarrassing.

No problem, I just figured you might want to fix your signature.

Congrats on the new bow. I love my z7x.
Jumping ship would be going to from bowhunting to shotgun hunting though...
