I feel the Jordan buck is the typical world record, to the eye test its the biggest typical ever killed.

Another case of antler greed, bad things happen when people look at hunting deer as a ticket to fame.
People like to bash scoring methods( b&c and P&Y) when it doesn't work out in their favor ...but when it does you don't hear the complaining. If whom ever, the hunter, the antler buyer ...Santa Claus, did not want to subject the rack and themselves to the rules then they shouldn't have submitted it for measurement.
