I'm not a fan of these type shows. I've seen some pretty stupid shots taken just so these people could get it on tape for the TV contest!
Pat, I read that, I just thought there would be more detail on the site.....other than one page with 2 paragraphs. No matter, I won't be sending them anything anyways.
Not everyone wins...I'm pretty sure they'll use the good ones and not the bad... Besides...a LOT of editing (and re-creates) goes in to most shows these days...
That's cool, I just thought I would share it with ya'll... BTW, they told me the prize packages their looking to give away will be vauled at between $5,000.00 and $6,000.00
I didn't mean it in a bad way Pat....I just thought that if someone is putting something on like this they would have more than one page for a website and a lot more info on their contest. I'm sure they told you what the prize package was going to be valued at, but for people who may be interested I would think putting in on the site would give it some kind of credibility. All I see is someone who wants to start a show and is looking for a way to get some footage.....those are a dime a dozen these days.
I should also mention that D3 Outdoor has an Alcohol Funny Car team with mainly outdoor company sponsors... You can't see it real good in the picture but it has Lone Wolf logo's on both sides...
I tend to agree with you on this...I think the pressure to get kills on film causes many TV hunters to take some stupid shots at times.
"We want to see your Desire, Determination & Dedication on your outdoor hunting & fishing videos and photos. x2 Joe!! You couldn't of said It better. It would be a pretty neat deal If everyone had their heads on straight, ain't gonna happen though.
I don't film so no interest here but I would suggest the only way anyone send in materials is if you keep the ownership rights.......which I am sure you will not. Most of the footage will be used to make and sell videos or be sold off to video companies looking for filler. No such thing as a free lunch.
HeHe, novel idea.....if anyone is looking to give away good quality hunting footage, heck I'd be glad to accept it for Average Outdoorsman TV. You'd proudly be airing here locally in my home town! LOL We even already have 1 season under our belt, and season two starts this summer. The ONLY reason I don't like these shows is, because of the quality of film. Guys who buy the right TV quality setups and know what they are doing behind the lens, wouldn't dream of sending stuff in for free to this show, so it leaves you with handy cam hunts usually by people who haven't the first clue about filming, which I find hard to watch. I'm sure the show will take off and do fine though. BTW, that car is BA!
