Chicago has had over 350 black young men and women murdered in cold blood every year that he and president Obama have been in office. Yet let 20 white kids get shot and were going to start a commission to stop these murders? Where are the black mothers on this, for years the streets aren't safe not alone the schools in Chicago? Yet not a word, not a law and no commissioning preventing black murders, this is about race and nothing else, the numbers prove me right. Yea those black kids are being killed by guns purchased at gun shows. Heres their plan, Obama expressed support -- restating the position of his press secretary, Jay Carney -- for certain gun measures, including the assault weapons ban, limits on ammunition and closing a loophole allowing gun buyers to elude background checks at gun shows. But he stressed that those were only components of a broader effort to address violence.
Coincidence I don't think so. Any one remember the long island shooting, a black man killed 6 white people and wounded 19 others. Joe Biden to the rescue. Most likely it is because it was Biden who was the lawmaker who made the original ban possible. As a longstanding proponent of gun control, Biden had pushed an assault weapons ban through the Senate in November 1993, only to see it flounder in the House. The Long Island shootings the next month provided the impetus, with Clinton’s help, to pass the legislation the next year.
Read this somewhere else and found it interesting. Don't know about the Biden racist thing but the demographics of gun violence/homicides is pretty eye opening. Not sure what it means exactly because many of the areas with the biggest problems have very strict gun laws. Hey, you can't state facts and statistic. I was called in to jury selection on a trial I eventually had to be on the jury. One jury selection question proposed by the defense was "Do you believe black people commit violent crimes at a higher rate than white people." I personally did not answer this question, but one old farmer did. Then the defense attorney badgered him about why he believes this and where he gets his facts(as if it wasn't the truth). That old man basically told him he has researched it, and found it to be factual. Needless to say, the defense did not allow him to be selected.
"The White House has begun to signal that Obama may be more proactive on gun issues following the murders of the elementary school youngsters, ages 6 and 7. " Maybe its the age of the black youths that have been shot to death thats prevented any action from the white house on thousands of young blacks killed in Chicago streets every year. It seems that only the callous deaths of white kids justifies action by Joe and his boss.
