Thanks everyone. Talked it over again with the wife and she said to give it a shot, the timing is good and she wants me to find a job I enjoy more than my current one. It will not be an easy job to win as well, so the process and interview experience won't hurt for future positions if I don't get it.
Trying to get the job will also indicate to your supervisor(s) that you are wanting to advance in that "direction" and will put you in their minds for future opportunities should you not get this one.
Go for it. It could really benefit your future. I'm about 20 miles from La Crosse....... There are some VERY nice deer around here.
Hmmm, now I know who the first guy calling me to help drag a deer will be The area looks killer based on the location to the river, it should hold good nutrients and produce nice deer and is pretty close to Buffalo Co
Best of luck Race....I hope it all works out and that you have a great deal of success on all fronts of your life.
Have you never been there Jason?.. That's coulee country.. CRAZY cliffs and ravines so steep you'll die just trying to drag a deer out of there. Over the past decade or so.. I'm pretty sure that area has produced more 200" whitetail than any other on the planet. So ya.. it's pretty good
Same to you Brett. If it is meant to be it will happen, if not I know the direction to take next. Either way it will shape my future
Well, that's what I have the Rhino for! But we can still have a couple of beers and look at the deer!
If I get the gig you can count on it, just make sure that you take care of all the dirty work so my dress pants and tie don't get dirty
Good Luck Jas I know in my current situation I couldn't do this and im sure you understand. You can then hunt my parents you bastage. T
Money Isn't everything but I'll be honest and say If I was In your position (no kids) I'd go for It. My job keeps me from home at times allot. It's tough on the family life at times but that's just life. Not everyone's In the position to make a good wage close to home. Sometimes you do what ya gotta do, that's what I did. Best of luck Jason In getting the job!!
Submitted my application for the position today. We will see how it shakes out, to be honest it will be a difficult job to get. My supervisor looked over my Resume and asked that I write a new one for them, so much for guidance and mentoring Duke--- Thanks for the info, you just helped me feel more at ease with the deer around there
