Firefighters save lifes by risking there own. And no fireman i know would have the highlighted attitude, and i sure as hell wouldnt sit in the truck and pout. Cutler is an pro athlete, not risking his life and getting paid millions. If he chooses not to further harm himself, thats respectable. But this was the NFC Championship game, the least he could have done was cheer his fellow teamates on. Dbag. Of course i already had that opinion before Sunday. But hey, its just a game? Right?
Sure you can. I have seen many football players do it. Also, didn't Hines Ward call out Rothlisberger for not playing with a concussion and then people began to question Ben's "toughness"? http://nfl.fanhouse.com/2009/11/30/hines-ward-calls-out-ben-roethlisberger-for-not-playing/
Cutler's never gonna get the benefit of the doubt. Like I said....with him there is no "tie goes to the runner". Put on a happy face, and you'll get that. Be a complete MORON (H. Ward) and you'll get that (temporarily). Do you think the Steelers wanted Ben to play with a concussion (risk/reward)? Hell....he beat the throw. And, Hines still wanted to ring him up. Moron.
Just read on ESPN that Cutler has been released and the bears already signed a new QB. They move fast.
Oh, you're talking about the NFL quarterback. Here I was wondering what the heck everyone's talking about this guy for...
in chicago NO QB is ever gonna get the benefit of the doubt... if you watched the local coverage this morning its no wonder why they can't get top shelf talent to come here...
I have three days of my life that I will never get back from two severe concussions. I have also had several mild concussions. A mild concussion can bring on vomiting, dizziness and the feeling of being cold. Sitting down and not being engaged is not at all out of the norm for a concussion. What bothers me is that he didn't seem engaged in the game and didn't seem to be helping his peers who were taking his place. Maybe that isn't needed so I am not going to be critical of him. I also heard that the team doctors wanted him to come out of the game, this makes sense if they are worried about a worse injury. He wasn't having a great game anyway so why leave him in to get crushed any more than he did?
Raceway, I totally understand about the concussion thing and not being engaged. I was just using it as an example as to how everyone reacts in a different manner. I was also using the Rothlesberger/Hines Ward debate as another example how people will say and do anything in professional sports to judge others. I TOTALLY understand someone with a concussion not being engaged. I can also totally understand how someone with a torn MCL can be disengaged as well. Jay Cutler brought the Bears to the championship game and got his butt kicked throughout the entire season by getting sacked and powerbombed. He never complained. He was scrutinized over and over yet did not waver. He kept coming out like a prize fighter and took an above average team and almost brought them to the SuperBowl. What more do you want out of the guy? I am not a Jay Cutler fan, I can just understand how a person could sit out with an MCL, and how that same person can be totally dejected on the sideline. Jay Cutlers sideline attitude did not effect the game even .00000000001%.
I think he's a never ending problem child that would be good to avoid if you owned a team. He hasn't done it and probably never will. Trade him for a new bow.
ask me, ask me, I'll tell you!!! Just kidding It's all about the passion and love you bring to this sport and the guys you surround yourself with day in and day out.
Q. What's the difference between Jay Cutler and a Dollar Bill??? A. You can get 4 quarters out of a Dollar! .

If you actually read that article, it's a pretty straight-forward slap in the face to the conspiracy theorists. Thanks for the link.
