Yeah, well I lost my right arm in a freak auto accident on the way to a middle school game. Not only did I tell the EMS to shove it, I stole the ambulance and drove to the game. My numbers weren't as impressive as your's, but I did mess around and got a triple double. Oh, and I was right handed before the accident.
being hurt is one thing, but being hurt and looking like a sad kid on the sideline will make people question him. If your truly hurt go inside check it out and make it noticable too people that you are hurt and cheer your team on, this was the NFC title game. I have been a bears fan all my life and played football most of my life, if there was ever a time I was truly hurt I showed it and still ruited o my team. I always went by a saying, If your hurt you can still play, if your injured you can't!
I always enjoy these type of responses from athletes/coaches to the media. You know those lame interviews they insist on doing with a coach as he's trying to get into the locker room before halftime? They always ask the dumbest questions. Lloyd Carr was once asked: Reporter: Coach, why did you go for it on fourth down there? Carr: We wanted to get a first down. And he was fined for it. I thought it was funny.
You guys ever think of this? Jay Cutler goes from people making fun of him and questioning the Bears decision to trade for him in the early season to leading his team to the NFC championship game. Then during the game he not only lets himself down but his team as well because he tears his knee and cannot play. He was miserable. He didn't do anything to hurt his team by standing there on the sideline. Noone is worrying about him and his emotional state when they are playing. They are just playing ball and trying to make it happen.
I always loved the one where a reporter asked Arnold Palmer "How did you shoot a 74 out there, tday"? AP: "I missed a 4-footer for 73". Jay Cutler's never gonna get the "tie goes to the runner" from the media. I don't blame him for not being mr. nice-guy to them.
For HIS game check...id attempt to play through anything...or at least fake my happiness for my teamates. Dbag if you ask me. Oh and a loser. To the Packers. WHO ARE GOING TO THE SUPER BOWL!
So if you and your firefighter brothers are fighting a fire and you snap your leg in half and are left sitting in the grass next door, are you going to be clapping and smiling throughout the ordeal? I can tell you the other firefighters could give a crap less what you are doing because they are battling it out the best they can without you. They don't need smiles and little goody goody facial expressions to make them feel better. And neither should the fans/media in this Cutler event.
