    131 years? LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    What percentage of time (in Earth-speak) is that? Why didn't they use 128yrs....or 129....or 130 (0r 150?)?

I wasn't aware of this "fact". I did see June was the 4th hottest (so far) on record (I think 1931 was hotter). Should we get out the bat-phone and call Al?

    131yrs????..................L O L !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I read the blog post and the most interesting thing to me was the statement.

Not sure about all that. MD had record cold and snowfall. Well over 4X the norm.

Within the 90,000-year Ice Age cycles, the Earth also experiences 1,500-year warming-cooling cycles, according to the study, and warming likely will continue for another 200 years or more. The study’s findings are drawn from physical evidence of past climate cycles that have been documented by researchers around the world from tree rings and ice cores, stalagmites and dust plumes, prehistoric villages and collapsed cultures, fossilized pollen and algae skeletons, titanium profiles and niobium ions, and other sources.

It amazes me that people actually believe that humans have affected the Earth so much, that we have raised the global temperature in 100 years.

ya, that pretty much says it right there... there hasn't been accurate measurements but for about the last 40ish years... the tools simply we not precise enough to be reliable... then take into account that until fairly recently a lot of the weather monitoring stations have had their sensors within close proximity of buildings and you've got reliability that approaches congressional ethics.:p

It amazes me that people believe that we haven't, especially somebody who is in the environmental industry.

For the love of God! The following chart depicts global temperature change over the last 450,000 years. Ironically there were five periods where the Earth was much warmer than we are currently experiencing. How many CO2 abusing humans contributed to that?????

Though I heard Dinosaurs had some serious flatulence.
