This is my first post so hopefully you all can help me out! I live in the mountains of southern WV and there isn't much going on here hunting wise in January here. Anyone know of some awesome places to bow hunt for any type of big game in January that wont break the bank too bad? I'd like to get out of the cold but that's not a necessity. Thanks Guys!

Any place in particular? I've never did a mule deer hunt so any info will be a huge help.

Any place in particular or outfitters? I only know one guy from Alabama that I've been on two mission trips to the Middle East with (he's actually Bear Bryant's last recruit) and he will be doing football camps in Panama during January.

Lots of good outfitters in bama can't recommend one in particular some are high some are very reasonable... my advice with any outfitter is stay away from the ones the TV hunters use they tend to high.. My buddies outfitting biz used to be reasonable, until he became a pro staffer for HTW[huntin the world southern style] and now THE HUNT with Greg Miller the Zone has done shows on his farms as well.. and with that he has gotten busier and his prices have gone up..

    in bama.....
I have heard good things about PA-KO plantaion and actually had a hunt booked with them 3 years ago but had to cancel. I talked to owner in length and he seemed to know his stuff..

Quail, Turkey & Deer Hunting at Pa-Ko Hunting Plantation in Alabama

HERE ARE A COUPLE OTHERS THAT WON'T BREAK THE BANK

Alabama Deer Hunting-Hawkins Ridge Lodge - A family owned and operated hunting lodge offering excellent Whitetail deer hunting and Alabama Turkey hunting with Southern hospitality.

Piney Woods Hunting Preserve - Alabama Deer Hunting - Trophy Whitetail Deer Hunts

Bama also has a fair amount of public land... to catch the rut you need to stay in the souther part of the state though..

last time I bought one you could buy a 3 day bama license for around $160..
