That's a nice buck there Ed, nice tine length!! What's your take on his age? Nice pics from that bushnell too.
Thanks Steve / ALL. Steve - If you look close at pic #2 against pic #3 (from above) the sticker, at 1st glance, makes it appear they are the same deer. However, I believe they are Two different Deer. If you look closely the two different features are 1) Brow tine length. 2) One deer is a 4X5 and the other deer is a 5X4 (must be brothers from different sides of the womb)... As far as age - I want to guess great 2 1/2 year olds. This is another (blury) picture of one of the 2 1/2 year olds sparring with what I believe is a 3 1/2 year old, this pic below is seconds apart from pic #3, but shows a better body shot. I usually look for the "Brisket Buldge" to show @ least a 3 1/2 year old (even w/Doe's)... I believe the 5 Pointer is the bully of the group as he chases off and spars with nearly every deer. Maybe I'll get to rattle this aggressive buck within range in the years to come... I think he shows great potential and will be the biggest gainer this next season??? I was out for 4 hours with my snow shoes in 2 1/2' of snow finding some great spots. I went back to a known buck bed from spring and he is still using it. I just don't know which buck. So I set one trail camera in the creek he overlooks and another camera on video pointed at his bedding area. When I get back from a FLA golf excursion, I will check those cameras to see if my plan is going to come together for next season as one possibility!
You're basing the heard balance in your area off of information you've obtained from 9 trail cam photos ??? That one buck is really nice. He's gonna be a BALLLLLLLLLLLER, next year.
