It's been a long time since I've been on here, but...

I had a not so pleasant morning today. I walked out to my truck to find the passenger window shattered, and my bow case GONE.

    :(

I am almost positive I will not see my bow, or gear again, but I would like to get the word out, in case some of the other Raleigh shooters happen to come across it in their travels... It's a Bowtech Air Raid, with a Posten Woodsman II stabilizer, Octane Bantam weight quiver... not exactly a widely used bow.

It's been a rough week already, with my Brother in law's Crohn's coming out of remission, and having several attacks in the past week and a half. He has been in the ER since. We are still waiting for word from the docs as to what needs to be done.

So, what's been happening on here since... well... last year?

It has been good here. Meeting a lot of cool people and learning tons of stuff. Do you have any trailcams out yet?

Hate to hear that about your gear and brother in law. I have to agree with Sharp, the only good thief is one that is full of lead.

Damn man, that sucks. I hope the best for you and your family. Things will work out and as for thepiece of crap that stole ur bow may I hope that a de-railure is in his future. No good comes from being a lowly thief.

Hey man, I hope your brother-in-law is coming along ok. You hunt on Jordan Lake. Is that game land? Have you seen/spotted any big bucks there? I know Falls Lake is Game Land. I found a nice spot in the back of a cove on Falls Lake in December where a big buck was swimming across the lake every morning, but it is on the gun hunting side. I am going to keep an eye on it this year.

Yes. There is a game land around most of the lake. same around the nuke plant on Harris.

Honestly, no. I've actually only seen one friggin' deer out there. lol. That was about a month ago, when me and my girl went off trail, and got.... umm... "lost" in the woods. :D I've seen a lot of tracks, and know where they frequent, but I only get about five or six times to get out there during the year. Other than that, I've got a buddy out west that I go with.

But the thunder chickens are freaks out there, if you know where to go.

NC Hunt Supply (on Milbrook Rd. in Raleigh) mostly in the Summertime (I hate the heat) because they have an Indoor Range up to 30 yards. I shoot at my friend's house, he is has a 3-D setup and tower we shoot from. Or Mother-in-law's place out in Oxford. Where do you shoot?

That sucks! Sorry to hear all that and I am sure with prayer it will get better. It must be in the water though. I just posted a thread for Mr. Siman since he is a fellow fire fighter. My grandmas house caught on fire due to an arson next door that put that house on the ground. Pics are in the Water Cooler forum under "Mr. Caleb Siman".

Luckily for me, the lady that owns a ranch out here, lets me shoot when no one is around. She had let me hunt her property out here this past year, with the understanding of the word "share" :D. But, I never felt safe with the shots that I did have. The horses behind the deer left me uneasy. lol. I'd hate to miss!

Was NC Hunt Supply known as something else in the past? I know one of these places changed their names.

Hey, I appreciate that a lot, Fitz. Fortunately a release is not something I am in need of. I have had a few of those over the years.... as one could imagine. lol. I was never happy with the ones I've gotten, and usually just buy a new one when I learn I don't like the current.

All the same, I have given some of those away too.
