A black wolf that is. Between myself and another guy, we have seen this same black wolf in the exact same spot 5 times. The season opens on September 15th and I have a $250 tag in my pocket.

I may have to show you coyote boys what a real dog looks like! :deer:

That would be cool...best of luck Dan. I don't know if I'd have the nerve. Those dudes are little more freightening than a grizz. But good for you just come back on one piece.

Thanks guys. I've actually seen 4 different ones in that same area, and never together. One is big and grey with a black stipe down his back. The black one isn't that big, about 80#, but very unique.

Actually wolves aren't that scarry. They see you and take off, then stop and look, then take off, then stop and look, then walk toward you, then follow you, then sniff the **** running down your leg! :d

We actually had a small pack follow one of our bear hunters from the stand to the quad last week. He was a little freaked out.

Yeah Kyle, WTF, why aren't you in the stand?!?!

This is in Ontario. It used to be 1 per day on a small game license and open all year. Since 2005, its 2 per season (Sept 15-March 15) and the tags are $250 each for NRs like myself. Even though I spend 7 months of the year up here and own the business, I have to buy NR tags. :bash:

I'm pretty confident I can call at least one in in that area. I may even try using a decoy and setting it close. If I can do it, it'll make for some great video......again. ;)

    Joe,

Probably both. I have to redeem myself from last year. If one hangs up outside of 30-40 yards, I'll use the rifle.
