When I got here this morning I noticed some things were kinda out of place. I looked around a bit and called Campus Safety, our own version of the Keystone Kops. It appears as if someone let themselves in overnight and helped themselves. I'm still not sure what all is missing. I have to stay outof the way while the "investigation" is going on. I know my Fluke 333 meter isn't on my desk where I left it, also a Milwuakee Porta-Band is gone from under my desk,( my own fault for not locking it up). The tool cabinet is intact although someone tried to get in it. before the day is out I'll have to make a list for insurance I bet.
I had a pack of BHs on my desk I was going to mail to LAEqualizer. They are gone. I bet they just grabbed the box hoping it contained something valuable. well, they got 3 used Zwickey Deltas in 170 gr. The part that pisses me off the most is they took my digital picture frame, one of those Kodaks that scrolls through several pics. They were all pics of Lily, my little girl. I have the pics saved in my 'puter but thats not the point.
This pisses me off. There was no alarm last night. It looks like an inside job. Someone with a key and the alarm code did this. FORGING BASTAGES!

    Sorry to hear TEX...

I was a also victim in Oct 2006 when some losers broke into my machine shop and stole my laptop computer.
This laptop computer was not "backed-up" (foolish on my part) for three months and it contained ALL of my new born sons (Jake's)pictures.
It is also the place where I keep my accounting and employees S.S. # etc.
Talk about feeling helpless and PISSED!!!

Just typing this makes me want to go postal on scumbag thieves!!!

There are 17 employees issued pass keys. 2 are under high suspicion. They are both out "sick" AGAIN today. They run together and some of the places they run aren't nice. Another building was hit a few weeks ago. Same MO. No sign of forced entry, no alarm sounded. Both of those guys missed work the next day then also. They will be asked to submit to lie detector tests upon their return. If they refuse they will be terminated for cause.

No, we're not that high tech. Everyone who is authorized knows the alarm code. Exterior security cameras may have caught them. Campus safety is reviewing them now.

I just got a call from CS. There were two employees caught on camera just before dark last night. I'm going to go watch the tapes. Those guys will be escorted off campus when they show up to work. Irving PD will be taking over matters from here.
Its the same 2 we thought it was.

We have the same problem where I work Greg! Problem is we are in a locked high fence so it narrows it down but no security cams. All they take out of our shop last time was a cap...blaze orange cap that is very distinctive! We keep Dewalt cordless drills, sawzalls, you name it we got it but rarely does that stuff turn up missing! They loved our scrap copper wire bin for awhile...we are missing ALOT of #2 cable thought!:bash:
