I don't know where to start......

My wife's cousin went hunting with me last year for the first time. I could tell he absolutely loved it even though I killed a buck and he didn't. He loves the meat as much as the hunt so he bought himself a .308 and a crossbow, shot them a few times over the summer and in his mind was prepared to kill some deer this year. His father-in-law owns several 40-60 acre plots around here that they say there are deer on but I never imagined, it's mostly open cow pasture, chicken houses, and what trees are on the land are deep ravines and thickets. It was one of these ravines where me and Dalton saw the 130" buck that Dalton missed and the doe that he killed.

Today on his way to work, Cuz looked out across one of the pastures (they live on one of the plots) and saw 4 bucks. He went back to the house, put on a camo shirt and got his crossbow. He drove to one of the thickets he saw the deer near and the bucks were bedded down. They stood up, he got out of his truck, cocked his bow, and spine shot this buck...

For every buck killed by guys using topos, scent control and calls....there are probably 10 killed like that. Better to be lucky than good I guess. Score-wise, I'd say upper 130's? Hard to tell from that angle.

    Thanks Greggo, good being here.

My first guess was upper 140's but the spread is only around 16". They say they green/raw scored it around 160 but they don't know what they hell they are doing. I'll put a tape on it this weekend.

That buck will push 150" very hard if not more.

That was my first thought too John, but I was trying to be conservative and not get the feller's hopes up. :)
