It's slow on here so I will babble a little bit. I have the dog days of summer blues already. Currently sitting on my back porch enjoying a nice quiet day. Caught myself daydreaming now several times how I wish fall was here. I am theoretically as ready as I can possibly be for next season. Which sucks somewhat due to the fact I have very little to do till September. I know it is a great place to be in, but sometimes I just need a reason to be out in the woods. I've busted my butt this early spring to get this stuff done before the heat, bugs and my new son arrived. Mission Accomplished. New tree stands up. Check Existing stand locations adjusted as planned. Check Additional Cover for me around one of my stands that turned out to be too open last season. Check All new shooting lanes cleared. Check "Man made" fence fine funnel created. Check New stand locations on public land ready for my climber. Check New bow tackle installed. Check Bow 95% in tune. (Still going to do some more BH walkback tuning this fall.) Check License purchased. Check Anyone else done with their stuff already?
im not even close, but maybe you could dabble with some trail cams, they seem to be pretty good at keeping folks busy.... or plant a food plot??? i dont know what to tell ya!
