It is 20 degrees with a 15 MPH NW wind..... I am trying to talk myself into going out and sitting for a few hours.... Any help you guys could lend would be nice
Believe me, I've been looking at the forecast for tomorrow morning and planning my trip accordingly. Supposed to be in the low teens with a 10-15 mph South wind in the morning. I'm NOT looking forward to getting up insanely early, hanging a stand in the dark, and setting up my camera but I'm gonna do it anyways. I'll be damned if I finish this season without my tag on at least one buck!!! And I have the pefect spot already picked out for a South wind so I'm going out come hell or high water. Think of the quad-beamer, put on your best long johns and get out there! Bowhunting.com doesn't need any sissy Pro-Staffers who are afraid of the cold. :D
It supposed to be 10-15 degrees tomorrow morning out here......... I'm planning to do another all day sit both tomorrow and Sunday which isn't supposed to be much warmer. I'm gonna look like this guy heading out tomorrow.........
Yeah the quad would be nice..... I am now finishing up my "cold weather lunch"..... PB sandwich and a can of beefaroni :d This is real time out my back door... Headed out soon.
I have the PC playing music at random..... Drowning pool "let the bodies hit the floor" just came on.... I'm just sayn'
I hunted this morning and the dang truck read 12 degrees and there was a 13mph wind to boot. I stayed out till 10 never seeing a buck but watching several 50 point shots go by. A doe will die tomorrow if I wake up and sit in the Tundra again!
I'm trying to convince myself to go out tomorrow morning before work....... It's kinda like haveing a devil on one shoulder saying go and kill something and an angel on the other shoulder reminding me how warm my bed is at 3 AM.
1 nothings wrong with you 2something wrong with me 3....get out and shoot a deer!!!!!!!!!!!!!! let the bodies hit the flooooooooooooooooooooooooorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggghhhhhhhh
I would be out there if I could!! One of the coldest hunts was my second year. I walked in right after a freezing rain, sat down on my stand and the ice melted and then refroze my coveralls to the seat! Sounded like velcro ripping into a megaphone when I stood up. I don't mind the cold much though, get out there and put one down man!
I'm pretty ticked that it finally got COlD ... just as gun season opened today. Hopefully, they'll all stay holed up in the standing corn until Monday after dark so I can get back after them Tuesday... CRAP! Wait a minute... can't do that either... heading out Tuesday for Mobile, AL., to do the family thing for Thanksgiving... Maybe they'll all stay holed up until I get back next Sunday. :D
funny, I'm listening to David Gilmour from his Live at Gdansk CD, he's doing "High Hopes" at the moment...
I've been working outside in this COLD weather all week. Winds have been brutal and beating up my body everyday. Most mornings have started with wind chills about 8 degrees.. highs only 25-35 degrees. But I'll be up and hunting this weekend.. so don't be a wuss!:d
Pffff... sissies. What are you going to do when it actually gets cold out? Maybe you all should try running some winter time traps to toughen you up. Nothing like getting cold (after 'painful cold' comes 'numb'. It's a welcome change) getting soaking wet and smelling like muskrat guts and 'coon fat to make you really appreciate a hot shower and forced air furnance.
