Flash flooding in Duluth, MN has devistated the Zoo there. The poalr bear ands a seal were able to swim to safety. Can you imagine seeing a polar bear swimming in Lake Superior? http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/47889559/ns/weather/
I would run downhill in the other direction. BTW Fitz, now is a good time to put in for that impractical MN polar bear tag!!!
Damn, it look like TN all over again. My wife almost got caught in Nashville a couple years ago when the flooding happened there. Scary stuff. Hope every one is alright.
Our cabin is 20 minutes south of Duluth/Superior. A little nervous about what we are going to find when we get up there tomorrow. I feel terrible for all the people that are living there and having to deal with it daily and have lost their homes and businesses.
My wife and I were camping up by Finland State Park over Memorial Day weekend and there was a lot of rain then as well. Hasn't been a fun spring for the folks up north this year. Stay safe everyone hope ya dry out soon. Don
8 inches of rain in one night is a lot of water. Then they said they were going to get 3 more the next night. Now that's a lot of water. I saw 7 inches in one rain here a couple years ago. Water levels came up fast and furious. Flooded our hatchery out causing us to lose a lot of baby salmon.
I have friends and family that live in Duluth and it's absolutley crazy some of the pictures they have showed me.
