After a visit to the doc today, it's confirmed that I have at least a partially torn rotator cuff of my left shoulder. It's been bothering me for a little while and kept getting worse and worse. I went and saw the doctor that repaired my shoulder 3 years ago. The PA that I saw was a female, the same one that I saw the first go around. She walked in and said (with a big smile) "De ja vu all over again huh?" I explained that it was the same pain and lack of range of motion I had suffered from previously and she asked what I thought it was. I explained that I think only one of the tendons that was torn and not all three like it was, because I can move my arm normally forward and backward. She agreed and asked what I wanted to do, when I told her I wasn't going to have surgery until the end of February (if needed) she laughed and said, "kind of like last time you waited until after deer season or something right?" She was right, that was the plan.

She suggested that if I want to wait that we do a steroid shot and some anti-inflammatory... so that's what I did. I can draw my bow fine, no issues with that. It's more like putting my debit card in an ATM machine and trying to sleep that kills. Anyway, kind of a bummer but at least I know what to expect.:deer:

Let's just say she makes it pretty easy to go back to the doctor :D

Yeah the one I had on the last shoulder has done extremely well for me. I agree my right shoulder is awesome and I have no hesitations about doing it again.

Is this a sign of how your season is going to go? WHat did you shoot last time you had it done.

    Either way it's a bummer.

I guess the left shoulder isn't as bad as the right one would be for drawing the bow. Hope it makes it thru the season for ya!

Honestly, I think it got irritated at the GTG either football or the tent tackle. But what made it go pop, was doing pull-ups and then hanging from one arm to stretch it out.

130 - I killed 4 does and two buddies killed 270" out of my stands!

That sucks buddy. Glad that it isn't really interfering with your shooting. Mine seems to be healing nicely. I probably can play softball this week but not going to push it. May try to play again next week and see how it feels!
