It's official! New MN Record Bow Kill

Just a update from when I posted this in Oct. I was hunting Ripley the day this was shot. That week I realized it was a co-workers cousin that lives 2 miles from me. Anyway this is from my home town paper this week drying period just ended.

I'm puttin in for the draw for 2010. Looks like a fun hunt and so many monsters such as this one get taken!

I'll be damned, Ben's buck (Hoka legend) got beat!! He only had the state record for a year I believe. I figured the Ripley buck was going to be real close, close It was. Congratulation's to the hunter!!

Ron- The guy that shot It lives just east of Kimball by South Haven right?

 

My roomate got to see it first hand.

Cool!! I was thinking about making the 30 minute trip over there In hopes the guy wouldn't mind showing his buck off to me.

They really take some real brutes at that camp every year.

My dad said he stopped hunting there when he found his third unspent arty shell stuck in the dirt trail... where they drive. lol.
