I've talked with a few of you about this over the past few months, it's finally official though now........we are selling our place here in NY and headed to IL this fall. I actually signed the offer letter today. My target date to be out there is 10/1, but we could end up out there sooner or later than that.......the soonest we could be there is middle of September, the latest is sometime November. I'm pretty confident the house will sell here quickly as we are asking right in line with what several houses like it has sold for recently. As of now we are looking to settle down somewhere between Huntley, Algonquin, and Crystal Lake. I know we have a ton of members here in that area, so hopefully I get to hang with some of you guys when we get out there. As excited as I am to get out there..........I wish the relocation part was already over. I hate the idea of packing everything and the actual logistics of everything. Hopefully it's quick and painless!
Rick, best of luck to you and your family. I am in the same boat as you. Packaging and working all day, every day here in anticipation of a move on 8/1. Im exhausted.
What she said.^^^^^ Ii thought that was where I would retire near my property. But with the shape that state is in, no way I would live there.
I'm sure its job related, however, moving from NY to IL is like moving from Mother Russia to East Germany. Same old same old. Good luck.
Hey now, Illinois isn't that bad! We only have 1 governor in jail (the other just got out), the lowest credit rating of any state in the Union, the highest unfunded public pension plan in the country, the strictest gun laws in the country and the highest gas prices in the country. What's so wrong with that?? At least we have a few of these around.
those are the only bucks the filthy leeches in Springfield and Chicago haven't yet figured out how to get their hands on....
Congrats! If you're using a moving company, make sure you do your research. It could save you a lot of headaches
Time to put everything you learned chasing those NY buck to test on the IL giants! Best of luck with the move, new position and new hunting.
