I'm sure we have some fine shooters in the forums. Time to toot your own horn....and also let us know your plans for the upcoming (already started?) season of shooting things other than critters.

What do you have planned (shoots) for 2010? Maybe a good chance for some to meet up.

What's your resume'? I know we have some good local/regional shooters. Do we have any shooters who've competed/placed in national tournaments? How'd you do?

I've finished in first place twice in a regional 'bowhunter' 3d shoot. (bowhunting equipt. not 3d equipt... which for me is the same)

I finished somewhere around 70th place in the Metropolis, IL ASA/Pro Am. (i suck!)
I did learn a couple of things there.... 1) My fat pinned hunting sight would need to be replaced for this kind of shooting. 2) To actually let down when my shoulder started doing the pain induced muscle spasms. (I'm hard headed about that) 3) Get one of those chairs everyone had. It took forever to shoot the course and the heat index was around 115 degrees the first day. 4) Practice. (I honestly had a series like this: 12, 5, 12, 5, 10, 5, 12.. WTF??)

I used to shoot an indoor 3-d league. I did it for 4 years, and our teams (4 man) walked away with a record of 3rd, 1st, 4th, and 2nd places... our teams were always there just to have fun, and get some practice in the winter... Some other people ruined it by making it a serious affair...

    Does that count? lol.

Never shot an outdoor 3D in my life. Shot one indoor 3D two years ago for fun...didn't do too well. I techincally "won" the hunter class vegas league here last year through dumb luck. No plans for this year.

Shooting 20 yard indoor this winter (first time) and have steadly gotten better. First score was a 248, and now I am consitantly shooting mid 280's. Just working on getting better. Might shoot the local regional...but that depends on when my wife has our 2nd baby!!! I figure, I better take care of wife and baby before I run off to do a shoot. As for 3D...I'm going to look into it this summer and see what it's like.

I only shot in 1 shoot and that was last year. I had a blast and plan on shooting more this year.

April 3rd is our first shoot of the year (30 target 3d).

If anyone around wants to join me, all shoots are open to the public.

I usually shoot several local/regional shoots... Most are not competitive and are considered more "fun shoots" than anything.... Looking forward to spring to get out and shoot a few....

I have only shot two outdoor 3D's before, I really need to get out and shoot more. I usually shot indoor but find that gets a little slow to keep interested.

Help us out right here, Rob! (are you kidding?)

Haven't you won a bunch of regional tournaments.....and been a top finisher in some national tournaments? Toot your own horn. Which tournaments?

I just rolled in he door from the first shoot of the year! I shot a dissapointing 278 out of 300 :( I have better than that in me, but on the flip side I have not shot since Nov 5th and I didnt even warm up before the shoot, just grabbed the bow and went. I should have been about 285-290
Ill do about 3-4 shoots this year before the G2G Then its on baby :D

I just got back from Foxpro archery (http://www.foxproarchery.com/). Shot a 275, down from a 288 two weeks ago. Farthest shots were around 43-44yds. Havent practiced since September, so i gotta start. I shot beside the guy that got 2nd at the IBO worlds last year, which was cool.

well since I found this late antlerless season until the end of Feb, I won't hitting in 3d shoots until Mar. after I get new strings and cables and a new sight...then I will hit 4 or 5 shoots just for the practice of it...Im not good enough to shoot the entire course consistently...I come out of the gate strong, but on a 30 shot course, I get squirrely around 16 or so!
