I really don't understand why people get all bent out of shape, about their taxes... WTH was this ****** thinking?!

    http://www.cnn.com/2010/US/02/18/intentional.plane.crash/index.html

Seriously, If it turns out that he was the owner of this plane, I'm going to be even more mad. If you can afford a luxury item like a F'in PLANE! Then you should be able to pay your taxes, and stop your bi'ching.

    Done.

Tax laws are ridiculously complicated, we are over taxed and excessively taxed. We are taxed on the dollars that are already taxed away from us.
And by all means if you don't think you pay enough all ready, then feel free to send a little extra since we all know how wisely it will be used.

The reason we are a nation idependant from Britian is in large part because a whole bunch of people got worked up about taxes.

Getting 'worked up' about our government is not a bad thing.

    However..........

This was the act of a psychotic nutcase. He would have found a monster to point his lance at no matter what. :(

No, I totally agree with this... I'm just saying that no one needed to die over it.
Well, maybe not "no one". He could have been just as effective, to fly his plane into the desert, and kill himself... Innocent people don't need to die because he was upset.

I'm truely torn on this. I have the greatest sympathy for the innocent lives (and their families) lost in this incident. Also I'm not condoning what he did but my take on it is this:

If this guy can afford to have his own plane he was more than likely in the upper end of the tax bracket. Chances are also good that he didn't have his taxes payroll deducted and had to physically write a check to Uncle Sucker a few times a year. As some of you know signing over 35% plus (State, Social Security, ect....) of YOUR money will get old.

My guess is Uncle Sucker was going after the house, plane, business, and everything else. How is this for biting the hand that feeds ya? Was what he did was extreme? Yes. Was there a better way to handle it? Most definately. Will Big Brother take the hint? Probably not as they will pass a law making it illegal to fly a private jet when you owe taxes instead of fixing the tax code.

In the year 2007 the top 1% of earners paid 40% of taxes and the top 10% of earners paid 71% of taxes in our country. The bottom 50% paid less than 3%! In other words, those making less than $32,879 a year only contribute to 2.89% of the total taxes collected.

He didn't like paying taxes so he destroys a federal building that was built with tax dollars.......and will be rebuilt with more of our tax dollars. What a looney toon.

There will be more. We are getting ready to see tax increases across the board in the country;)

Hopefully is comes out of the insurance companies pocket, I would think all federal building are insured.

Maybe buttonbuckmaster can correct me on this one, but I was under the impression Federal facilities were insured by the Government and only "local" government and/or municipalities could use private insurance carriers.

Incidentally... the FBI has pulled this manifest from several places already.

    Speaks volumes of 'our' government.

    I'm ready for the revolution.

Biggest problem I have with our gov't is something we used for a battle-cry in the war over our independence.

    "No taxation - without representation"

I also believe in "No representation - without taxation".

Why someone who pays NO TAXES has the same voice in the US Gov't that I do (i.e. one vote) baffles the hell outta me.

Duke.....you put one too many letters in your description. Drop the "e" (and insert a '), and you nailed this guy.

    This, I buy.

A statistic that was written to make people think a certain way. While it is true, you must also wonder what percent of income those 1% make. In other words how many people in the US make 100 million dollars per year? 10 million per year? versus how many make 50 thousand.

I'd like to hear the rest of the story.

So it is fair to charge more because of their income? What if you walked into a store to buy a bow and the guy behind the counter said you had to pay $850.00 while another guy only had to pay $425.00 because you make twice as much? The rich should donate 35-40% of their salary because they are lucky to be rich? Most rich people or their families built their fortunes so they are penalized for their success. Time for a flat tax,
These people are supporting the damn country and we are relying on the top 49% more than ever and it will only get worse as we continue to support the bottom 51%. Sorry if I am cynical but in the real world of nature we call it natural selection, the strong survive. I have multiple foreclosures in my hood because morons wanted to be ballers and purchased homes they couldn't afford and now we are all paying for it. I am tired of paying into a system so others can have what I have without working, or live in a house that they haven't made a payment on for months. I live in a culturally diverse area and see a lot of what goes on, time to quit handing out and start empowering work ethic and brain utilization. We are burying our nation in debt and throwing money in directions that will not improve the employment rate.
By the way, I in no way have a household income of over 250% yet do not support the idea of progressive taxing.
