I'm only 15-20 minutes from the Delaware line. There season starts on September 1 every year. I really need to look for a property to hunt in Delaware next year.

I know! It would give me a reason to buy a little Jon boat again. I actually looked at a couple old used skiffs last night at a marine, insane the prices they are still asking.

Not sure, but I’ll let you know.
What about a canoe? Got a 16’ that I wouldn’t hesitate to take out. Of course I never have so I might change my mind pretty quick.
Season starts here 10/1. I won’t get out until the 17th due to farming and a cruise the wife has booked. Hopefully the bugs will be gone by then.

I live on the Chesapeake Bay and the river is a little big to cross in a canoe, although I have done it in calm days. It has a shipping canal that for the most part goes down the middle of it for hundreds of miles. So some huge ships go down it. I use to have a 14' boat and came close a few times almost swamping it from ships waves. Kayaks and canoes work great along the shores, but aren't ideal if you have to cross the canal. Majority of the public is across the river unfortunately.

Nice Freddy! I'm up here in Cecil, what county are you hunting? And if you are out on opening day make sure to join in and post in the Live from the stand thread. It's a good time.

Idaho elk season is here. Early archery Whitetail is open too, but with one tag a year it would take a really good buck for me to shoot one during elk season.
Just a weekend warrior for elk this year. Friday evening hunt, hunt all day Saturday, Sunday morning hunt. This will be my next 3 weekends.
I get cell service in a few spots on the mountain, will likely post here and there in the LFTS thread.
My main bow and backup bow are both tuned and sighted in to 60 yards. Have some camo laundry to do, putting together all gear and loading the trailer to do before this Friday. I work until 10am on Fridays, hopefully can get up there and get camp setup in time to still make an evening hunt. There was a well used wallow not real far from camp last year, that will be where I go this Friday evening if I have time. It is in a great location, right on the edge of thick bedding timber and clear cut browsing area. Pretty good uphill hike into it.
