    ...and I mean the temps...today 81, Sat & Sun 83.

So I think I'll take my 5 & 6 year old boys out for a quick hunt in the morning while it's mild out - they are still good for only about an hour sit - then we'll hit my Dad's 8 acre lake for some Bass Fishing. IMO Bass bite better in Mid-Oct than any other time thoughout the year...it took a warm weekend just like this in Oct years ago for me to hang up the bow one morning and find this out...my Dad and I caught bass on topwater buzzbaits all morning that day.

Keep it fun guys, if it's too hot to enjoy hunting - grab a fishin pole...tomorrow should be a great day.

Good Luck to all this weekend.

I'm thinking the same thing... I want to go SO bad this time of year, but then I get out there and don't see squat.

I always kick myself for not doing something else and saving my limited hunting days this year for later on when it's cooler.

It was 82 when I got out of my SUV yesterday evening to start making my way towards my stand... :(

I still have some green beans, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, peas, okra and the cotton out in the garden. I have 'harvested' the squash, but they're in piles in the garage and yard... curing. Too much frost would harm them.

So while the heat sucks for hunting. It's good for my garden stuff. :D

Too hot here for me to be out, so I washed and waxed the truck. I will take care of some other seasonal jobs before it gets cooler as well.

Did some work on the parent's new house today, and probably some tomorrow. I did see 2 small bucks last night, but it was a hot one walking in and out.
