I agree, and you don't make enough money to elect a 3rd party candidate so let's all hold hands and jump together  cause we're screwed.

I think continually voting for a 3rd party, like Libertarian, will cause the GOP to shift towards more Libertarian candidates, thus fixing the party.

It isn't going to happen in 1 election cycle though.

I also think the older Republicans dying off will help as well, as Libertarians lean liberal on social issues, as do most of the young generations, even younger Republicans.

No true Libertarian will ever get elected POTUS, but someone like Rand Paul might.

I would not stop on the side of the road and take a piss on either of them, they are not worth the time.

I certainly hope. What scares me is the tail end of my generation and the beginning of the next one. How WE raise our children will decide if it happens in our lifetime. Take one trip to Walmart and let me know what you see.

No, but at least they have my vote:) I voted for Ross on 92 also. I don't have an issue voting for the best candidate, regardless of party.

    Not bad insight

Ronald Reagan was also a Democrat before he saw the light. He turned out to be a pretty good President.

They are not on the side of the road. They are trying to get into the white house.

Trump wasn't my choice in the primaries. I don't completely trust him. I hope my gut is right that he is not the same person behind closed doors as he portrays to the cameras, and that he will surround himself with the people who know what is going on.

I do trust Hillary, and that trust is not that she will do anything good for the country. She will be as bad if not worse than Obama and her husband. She sat with her husband and in 8 years we went from a growing and thriving economy to one being artificially held up by the inflated housing market.

Trump likes money and I believe he will do what is in his best interest which is to improve the economy and get more money being spent here.

Look at the number and data, yes he was a good man, but let his numbers speak for themselves.

I love that quote, I was thinking exactly of what he said of the 2 party system when Trump vs. Hillary started coming to fruition. Your're showing your age now, in 92 I was learning the pinch and twist technique to get rid of jock itch and playing Nintendo.

But Trump is not the same party. The GOP did not want him to be the candidate, the actively campaigned against him. He is not part of the political establishment and that scares them. He is not politically correct and that scares them. He is bold and that scares them. The public spoke and told the GOP that they need to change, hopefully they got the message.
I just don't think there's any evidence that tells you he isn't doing this for the right reason. I believe he truly thinks he can do what's best for the citizens, not the government.

If DJT does 1/4 of what he proposes, he will be good for the country.
If Hillary does 1/1000th of what she says/wants to do, we are doomed.

Snark aside; if she wins the SCOTUS is lost for a generation, which means the Republic is gone. Gone. Gone.

Trump may not have been my first, or even second choice; but he is not the enemy of freedom.

She is that, and more. She is a psychopath. She is also a congenital, pathological liar; and monumentally stupid. All of her "experience" is failure, fraud or both. Her marriage. Whitewater. HillaryCare. Arab Spring. Libya. Benghazi. Syria. IS. She has never had an original thought in her life, nor a personal conviction held above personal gain. She's a sickening waste of a human being devoid of all compassion, morality, and principle. The only thing she has been successful at is staying out of jail.

And to those wanting to take a look at Gary Johnson; go ahead- he's another open borders NatSec nightmare. Vote for him and help Hillary. But at least weed will be legal. You'll need it to numb the pain.

OK, but does he know that Hillary sponsored the illegal non-declared US military action resulting in the overthrow of an otherwise cooperative dictator; in order to illegally traffic heavy and small arms to IS militants attempting to overthrow the government in Syria?

And that is just one thing about her....

In all seriousness I could care less if someone writes in Bernie, or themselves...but to vote for Hillary is 100% absolutely in my mind un-American and every person that does so should have to visit the 4 families that lost loved ones in Benghazi and tell them they are voting for her to their face.

I don't like Trump, but I suffer from hatred for Hillary...and yes I know that is wrong, I know we shouldn't hate, and I pray someday I can say I don't hold that for her.

I don't think Trump won in as much as the other republicans lost it. Can you imagine if Trump was not a republican candidate and one of the other republicans won the primaries what the poll numbers would look like now?

Yeah, Hillary 60% to generic GOP candidate 30%.

I disagree, Trump won by such a large margin I don't see how it can be construed as anything but Trumps own success.
The problem with the other candidates is they were unexciting and just more of the same old establishment crap. Cruz was 2nd and he is universally hated as much as Trump...probably more now after the filthy crap he got caught doing through the primaries. Things are what they are for a reason and weren't likely to have turned out any other way.

The only way anyone else could have beat Trump would have to have gone full on anti-establishment like Trump did except without the negatives of Trump's ego. The problem is that there wasn't another candidate with the Cojones to do that which brings us back to the current situation. Trump had a distinct anti-establishment narrative that played to the base and the broader sentiment as well and also was strongly nationalistic and patriotic.

How long has Hillary been touted as "unbeatable", yet here we are with all the polls showing a very tight race. I don't think Trump gets enough credit but one of his strengths is people constantly underestimating him along with the public's disenchantment with DC.

I said it early in the process when Trump first went to Iowa and he started to gain traction, how screwed up is this country when it appears that Donald Trump is the solution to our countries woes?

No doubt this country is screwed up big time, the liberal left has made sure of that. The bright side is that a patriotic/nationalistic message is still popular...even from a wretch like Trump. That gives me some hope that a good portion of the public is still sane and still loves this country.
