The people of Iraq were not exactly thriving under the oppressive rule of Saddam Hussein. The truth is the US used weapons of mass destruction and harboring terrorists as a valid reason to invade and tear down the Hussein regime. They may hate us for invading their country, but they have most likely forgotten what it was like to live there before we attempted to install a democratic government and give the people their freedom.

So for those of you that will not vote for Trump right now, is there anything in the next 3 1/2 months that could change your mind?

Anyone that is content with the world and nation today is voting Hillary anyway. I'm talking to the ones that agree we are messed up, Obama didn't inherit an 8 year mess, that still say no to Trump. Can Trump change your mind with a rhetoric change or announcement of his chamber and key position holders?

I only ask because I don't know how strong the anti Trump crowd is. Do they say never Trump and vote for him anyway without saying so once the ballot is in hand? Or do they really take the route of giving us another 4 to 8 years of Obama out of spite for Trump the persona?

Obama was/is a smooth talker and dream seeker, when all is said and done he was all talk and a dream taker.

Trump could be all bark and no bite for the most part and truly embark on a Reagan like leadership. Pound the fist or drop the hammer when needed, I really believe his ego, while strong, is too big to allow him to go down as a failure.

Sadam was a bad bad man no doubt, but while he was in power he kept Iran in check, the other crazy' at bay, and the average Iraqi had a refrigerator and ac unit in their house and didn't worry about being blown up by a radical every time they stepped outside. Yes I know he gassed the Kurds and did a lot of horrible things and I'm sure he's sitting in his specially reserved place in hell, but it cannot be argued that he did bring some degree of stability to the region simply because most were afraid to cross him. In hindsight sometimes the devil you know is better than the one you don't.

That said I was misinformed and supported the war. Now all we can do is learn from our mistakes, but we likely won't. Our country doesn't have a great track record with middle eastern regimes and successful interventions...

We need to start using SF more effectively. Sometimes it's as simple as throwing in a handful of ODA's with carte blanche supply and support and waiting until peace settles over the land-and I'm not being overly dramatic.

Iran has been at war with us since 1979. We've just been too stupid or cowardly call it what it is and start shooting back.

Not worried about terrorists coming across our border??? 9.11.2001 ring a bell? Over 3000 dead in under an hour.

And you're bass-ackwards - MUSLIMS have made this about ISLAM vs the West. Not the GOP. Conservatives (not the spineless GOP) are just unafraid to call it what it is. If you can't/won't identify the enemy you have no chance of defeating it. ISLAM is a multi-generational theocratic movement with one goal- world domination. Some choose violence to spread it, others choose slower, more insidious methods, but ALL Islamists are conquerors by definition.

Real "radical" Muslims are reformers like Zudi Jasser who recognize that Muslims must modernize and reform their religion to coexist with the West and other non-believers.

Let's just look at the data of where we stand today, this is just data

    Police fatalities avg per year

    1981-1988 101
    1989-1192 90
    1993-2000 81
    2001-2008 72
    2009-2015 62

    Let look at economic
    • The U.S. trade deficit has shrunk by 24 percent; exports have grown faster than imports.
    • The number of immigrants in the U.S. illegally has gone down — by 3.4 percent according to one independent estimate and by 9 percent according to another.
    • The economy has added 9.7 million jobs.
    • The unemployment rate has dropped below the historical norm.
    • The buying power of the average worker’s weekly paycheck is up 4.2 percent.
    • Corporate profits are running 144 percent higher and stock prices have soared.
    • Federal debt has more than doubled, and annual deficits, after shrinking, are again on the rise.
    • The number of people lacking health insurance has gone down by nearly 15 million.
    Homicide Rate
    • Homicides have dropped 13 percent, but gun sales have surged.
    • Violent Crime -16%
    S&P 500 + 139%
    Home Ownership -3.8
    Food Stamps +42%
    US Crude Oil Production +87%
    Petroleum Imports -62%
    Debt Held by Public +116%

I see the ones I marked as red as our current Presidents biggest failures for domestic policy. Unlike most of the lemmings who vote for either side, based on what they say, take the time to look up the data so you can make an informed choice. We have issues, lots of them, my biggest issue is the lack of leadership coming from the current White House about cops being targeted. There has been zero
leadership and Trump does not show any real leadership on this matter either, nor does Clinton.

I still believe the biggest issue we have is Education, if we can get these kids educated, perhaps we can stop the death spiral cities like Chicago are in, but we need leadership.

So for Trump to get my vote he needs to show he's a leader, last night he did not show that to me, but his daughter sure did. Until Viva La Gary Johnson

How many drones have we fired the last 8 year? Who are these people Obama is approving to fire the drones at? The Muppet's?

What you just posted is exactly what the extremist, Radicals want you to say, so they can radicalize more, nice work.

When is Gary going to lay out his vision for the country so we can hear and decide? I think Trump is saying things that people need to hear even if they don't want to. People forget that all the people that sneak across the border are breaking the law, why welcome them what have they done to deserve amnesty? I am a believer in putting America first, we need to look after our own. The VA failure is squarely on the current administration as well. Screw the established political system look at how the democrats and media scoff and dismiss Trump, the democrats think it is racist that we want a secure border they say that isn't what America is about?

Gary has laid out a plan, go get informed.

Also Trump stated a pile of info that was dead wrong last night, Clinton will do the same next week.

He said the Deficit had double, it's up 36%, same as Bush. Which is still to high. There is a bunch more examples, go get informed.

Second I already stated, if you come over illegally you get NO benefits, NO handouts, NO healthcare, you get nothing. Stop the handouts and you'll stop illegal immigration.

You all know most of the illegal immigration from Mexico is through tunnels correct? So building a wall will look good and sounds good, but won't work IMO.

The goal is to have legal immigration and have these people become tax payers.

Go get informed? The drugs are smuggled thru tunnels not people.

It cost about 3000-4000 to get smuggled across, why pay when you can just run across the boarder?

    What are they paying for?

Uhhh, no; patently incorrect. Tunnels are relatively few and far between and are mostly used to smuggle narcotics, money, and guns. Trust me, this is kind of my wheelhouse. Of the hundreds of illegal aliens I have had the opportunity to talk to, NONE came across via tunnel. The majority of illegals simply walk, swim, or drive across the border. Nearly all of the rest fly in on tourist or other short term visas and then simply never leave. I would say less than 5% enter by tunnel; certainly less than 10%. Tunnels are expensive to build and harder to maintain and keep secret. Most any illegal that gets caught on this side would give up the tunnel location in a heartbeat in order to get a work permit.
