Johnny and I are heading back to IL next Monday for our last out of state hunt. I really like our chances of getting on a good one down there.

After that, its going to be tough hunting for myself. Jill is due Jan 12 and I won't be able to get too far away. Granted the cabin here is only 1 hour away, but almost impossible to reach me if I'm in the stand.

Good luck to all still hitting it!

Wouldn't that require seeing a buck? I'll take myself out of the equation lol.

I still like Rob PA's chances. I think I read where he said he's never scored on a mature buck in the late season but I still pick him. He's too consistent to not put one down this year.

I'll be at it at my place in PA, but unfortunately with no Sunday hunting, I'll only be able to hunt 2 days this year. I am headed out this weekend to PA, but I really need to kill some does (haven't taken any there), and may bring the .270 to ensure I get that done. I may bring both the rifle and bow out, not sure.

Me, Saturday morning. I'll post from the stand before I climb down to grab antlers. And JimIV is hunting his OK place this weekend. Don't be surprised if he gets it done up there.

I'm on one, but I wouldn't bet any money on me getting a crack at him. Late season has never been my friend.

My bet is jmbuckhunter. That food plot on his farm of standing corn, turnips, and other plant types is going to come through for him while the deer are trying to get fat again.

I'll still be hitting the woods and with most of the corn FINALLY out of the fields my food plots may be where the deer are headed now. I'm still getting good bucks on trail cams, but mostly at night. If we get some snow and clod weather they might venture out a little earlier. I hope.:)

I'm going to try. Maybe Thursday the storms blowing through tonight and Wednesday Thursday is going to be cold. I like my odds for a night hunt by food. After that with the holidays I'll get in 3 to5 more hunts.

Me and my brother will be hitting the woods hard up until the end of the season chasing after the Droptine, I mean what gets you more pumped up then your little brother killing a two hundred inch buck on our property?

If one of you 2 are able to drop that buck (Halloween buck I believe it is), it would be one seriously epic year on your property.

I'm pulling for myself. I've never been able to seal the deal on a late season buck. We have a milo plot that is/has been getting hammered. I have been witnessing 2nd rut activity too.

Will in either WA or NM.

My best shot is by far on my AZ trip compared to here in KY...and I've given up completely on my IN tag.

My only slim hope is that the urban piece I just picked up that has been hunted one time all year can produce late season..being adjacent to a corn field, a neighborhood, and a major interstate....it has the chance.

Hopefully I get healthy soon with all the corn coming down I feel I might just get it done here in Wisconsin.

If I don't get my ass in gear, it won't be me! Went up to my land last weekend and didn't go out Sat morning. The motel we stayed at was so blasted hot that the GF opened both windows just so we'd be able to sleep. When I got up Sat morning it was 11 degrees out but felt like 30 below after sleeping in that sauna of a room. After breakfast, we went to the land to check the cameras and this is what I found...... note the date and time!!:mad: This puts him 14 yards broadside from one of my stands, the one I was going to hunt.

This is a pretty decent buck...... about 155. Never saw a thing the rest of the weekend. :(

I hope I do. Arkansas still has 11 1/2 weeks of bowseason left, and I've got 1 buck tag left.

If I had to pick someone, I'm going with TJF or jmbuckhunter. They bot hhave great food sources.

Can't count Troy out either, he's shown in the past what he can kill late season.

I pretty much don't have a prayer, heck I don't even know if I am going to bother to go out anymore. Maybe if we got some ideal weather & I get bored. Tough to drive 1.5 hrs to hunt the late season, when I could barely muster some deer sighting during prime time rut.
