My daughter Bridget is getting married to a wonderful young man that I like a lot (yes, he hunts). I've hoped for this day for quite some time but of course, I haven't pressured them. While seeing my kids getting married and having their own chilrdren is special, it's going to be a little more special for Bridget. She and her twin sister Brittany were born 9 weeks premature and had many health problems having to spend the first several weeks of their lives in NICU. While Brittany healed fairly quickly, Bridget did not. The Doctors and Nurses didn't give up on her but they told us a few times that she wasn't expected to survive. Thank the good Lord, she proved them wrong and they often referred to her as a miracle baby. With that said, my soon to be 26 year old miracle baby gave me an amazing grandson last summer and today she's getting married. How much happier could a proud dad be?
I didn't know that about your daughter Pat. I've got my own miracle baby, she was 10 weeks early, 2.5 lbs and given a 50/50 chance. Boy did she prove em wrong a star gymnast and straight A student. Congrats to you and your daughter. Hope they all live happily ever after.
Thanks John! That's awesome about your daughter bro! God is good! I did fail to mention both of my daughters struggled with their grades early on in school but they pushed and pushed, got great grades; A's & B's and both have Bachelor Degree's now.
Congrats on the grandson and to your daughter getting married. I wish them a very good life together !! Tim
