That's cold in my books, and that's is probably the lowest the temps have been here since......I don't know...March? I wore a hoodie while I was shooting today...just because I could:d. It was a beautiful day here. Season starts in 17 days and I feel like a bull about to explode out of the chute just waiting.
It's 63 degrees as I type this... wasn't that cold today, but it'll still be nice for the Missouri opener. I'll be hunting it my ideal way... sleep in, make a cup of coffee around 8 a.m.... and then drive a short distance over to a co-worker's house who had a group of does coming through mid-morning last year consistently. We'll see if they make that fatal mistake tomorrow. :D
Send that our way. Not that we're hunting but we had almost record highs this week. I do remember some too warm Oct days as well.
Tell me about it Rob!!! It was stinkin hot today, and they say its suppose to only be a high of mid 70's fir MD's tommorow opener but I have a feeling it will be much much hotter!!!!!!!!!
No kidding Rob. I hiked the entire property line yesterday freshening posted signs and was sweating like a pig the whole way. Last year the first three weekends in PA were way too hot. Hopefully things cool down a touch over the next few weeks.
Rainy and cold today. Miserable weekend, probably have had over 10" of rain within the last two weeks.
Heck yeah, I can sleep with my windows open... that usually doesn't happen until about the end of october!!
It's blowing pretty good right now outside Greg, course our season isn't in yet......As you know, Matt and I'll be in NC this weekend. We're hoping for good weather, here in PA it's calling for good weather, I'm sure the temps will go up as we head south.
Weather is perfect out here in Southern Wisconsin. Sat out by the firepit tonight in a long sleave t-shirt and it was awsome!
Yea I just finished up my CO elk hunt a few days ago, and weather/moon phase killed me. The first 2 days I had chances at elk and actually missed a 5x5 my 2nd day there(hit a branch), but it was a full moon and burning hot. The 2nd week was even hotter, never really ran into any elk for 7 straight days because they all dropped off the edge of some impossible to hunt canyons. I was at about 7500 ft. and it was in the 70's everyday I was there, put a damper on the rut!
yup, supposed to be in the 40's at night & 60's during the day. now that's what i'm talking about, & yes, it's finally here.
