My MN bow season officially starts in: 93 days, 22 hours, 52 minutes ans 15 seconds... 14... 13... 12...
Guess you guys have the same opener as us. When you are ready to go and everything is set it makes you want the season to come quicker.
YES! Can't wait. We have a wedding on FRIDAY September 16 (the night before!) but nothing we keep me away from opening morning!
In the past, I've always annoyed my wife with a countdown clock on the computer. Now that I'm a dork with a smart phone, I can always have my countdown with me....
You guys are lucky, I have to wait till October 1st. The countdown is on and like Pat said, I have lots to do before then. Why did I procrastinate hanging stands this year????????
You know that 40 below weather and two feet of snow we have to endure till May? It all evens out in the end my friend.
I don't feel like counting the days but our bow opener at one of my properties is August 15th. Needless to say, I won't be hunting in that heat...unless we get a "cold snap" and it drops down to say 85 or so. lol
That is why you live in the south and I live in the north. I would shrivel up and perish in the long stretches of heat you guys have to go through.
Its brutal thats for sure. I really wish the South Carolina DNR would bump our season back from a September 1st opener to an October 1st opener. And also bump the closing day from Jan 1 to Jan 31st. I would much rather hunt in January with all the leaves down than hunt in September when its still 90ish degrees. But on the flip side of that coin, when hunting in the first couple weeks of September there's always a chance of catching a buck in velvet.
I'm with GFY on this one. I can always add layers, but I can only take so many off! By the way.... :D :D :D
