My dad called me and asked my son and I to help him mow at his farm. We mow about 5 acres around his pond and a place to camp. We take 3 riders, so it doesn't take all that long. My dads trailer is a 12 footer, so we load one rider in the the truck bed and 2 riders on the trailer. We've been doing this for years. Well, yesterday I ran into a bit of trouble riding the mower up the ramps. One of the rollers on the deck caught on the tailgate, stood the mower straight up and over on me. I blacked out for a few seconds but came too and realized that I was ok for the most part. In the process I busted my head open in the gravel(6 sticthes), got my ankle caught under the mower and sprained it. Steering wheel hit me in the chest, big bruise there, back is one solid bruise. I'm pretty sore today, but thankful that the injuries were pretty minor. The worst part was seeing my sons'face, he had a front row seat for the show. He was shook up pretty bad. Oh BTW, if the lawnmower was a horse, we'd have to shoot it. Won't steer anymore, busted the gas tank, messed up the hood. front axle and broke the lights out. Quite a sight.
Holy Crap!! I'm glad that you're alright! I do think that some pics are in order so we can all see what the results of stunt riding look like!
Glad you almost ok. A truck driver that delivers to our shop missed 6 months last summer when his rider fell of ramps on top of him. Crushed one side of his face. You got lucky.
Wow.... Sorry to hear man.... Glad you got away as well as you did. I hate to see a good man down! Get better soon brother!
Wow! Glad to hear you're alright (for the most part). That could have been a whole lot worse. I've had my four wheeler come up on end, but never come over on me. It's scary to say the least.
