To give up tree stand hunting and buy a blind. At 62 it just seems to be getting too much to limb 20 feet and get everything attached to the tree. It takes just as long to get ready to get down as it does to get set up. I find myself doing it much slower as all my moves up high are very calculated and wondering why am I doing this. It would be much simpler and proably safer to just hunt in a ground blind. Might be selling all my treestands and ladders. Got to give it some thought.

Safety first for sure. I have a double bull blind by primos. Well constructed. Nice bag included easy to pop up. Bought it for turkey season last year. Had a cheap ameristep before and it only lasted one season. This double bull seems like it will last a long time.

They make some really nice 17 ft ladder stands. With my hunting buddy being my wife that is all we hint out of. My Dad is 67 and hunts out of them also. Good Luck and do whatever it takes to keep hunting :D

My Dad is 62 and has had both knees replaced. He hunts mostly out of ladder stands. We got him a nice 20 footer last year. I also have a couple set ups just for him. Where I have the climbing sticks above the stand so he can step down into the stand. It does take him longer to get set up and to get back down. But that just comes with getting older.

Yea, I do use the ladder stands on 2 property's as we have about 10 or 12 at each but sometimes I need to move. My upcomeing knee replacement will push me more to that way of hunting I'm sure.
